ABOUT
Alexander Brown
Alexander is a physician assistant working with Dr. Theodore Schwartz at the Dublin location, specializing in the treatment of acute and chronic conditions of the elbow, hand & wrist, and shoulder. Alexander is a first assist in the operating room, administers injections, and orders diagnostic testing. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Biology at Chapman University and his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Touro University.
Alexander became interested in medicine through a series of sports injuries and the impact his doctors and their teams had in getting him back to the activities that he loved. “I wanted to have the same positive impact on my patients,” he says.
Establishing strong relationships and open communication with his patients allows for informed and shared decision-making. “I want each patient to feel that they are in control of the decision regarding their health and treatment plan,” he says. “I strive to use evidence-based medicine to ensure that each patient is well-educated on their medical condition, answer any questions they have so they don’t leave confused about their recovery process. I also provide education on steps to take to prevent the recurrence/worsening of their medical conditions.”
Alexander no longer participates in team sports, but he’s still a huge fan. “These days I’m more into hiking, golfing and fishing. My fiancée and I love to travel, and enjoy good backyard barbecue.”
