ABOUT

Petra Cardona

Petra is a board-certified physician assistant who works with Dr Wendy Wong in fracture care and assisting with hip and knee joint replacement and revision surgeries.  Petra received her Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology from University of California, Davis, and earned her Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant studies from Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ.

Petra strives to provide compassionate care that keeps her patients motivated to stay active.  “I believe it is important for patients to be educated on their options and actively involved in their treatment plan and postoperative recovery,” she says.  “It’s my job to provide the patient all the information about their diagnosis and openly make a plan for them based on their goals.”

Her love of anatomy and the operating room motivated her to become a surgical PA.  “Orthopedics is the best specialty to get patients moving again and help them reach their mobility goals,” says Petra.

“I married my high school sweetheart!  We have a little girl and a very energetic dog, both of whom keep me outdoors and active!” she says.  They love to travel, and Disneyland is a family favorite.
