FEATURED TESTIMONIALS
Dr. Hasan if very knowledgeable and approachable and competent. I’ve had 2 endoscopic spine surgery procedures with him and my mobility and freedom from pain were immediate. The recovery was quick free of complications and I barely have any scars from the arthroscopic surgery he performed on me. I highly recommend him. His work has greatly improved my life.
Dr Saqib Hasan helped me with my back pain, with minimal invasive surgery. He took his time to explain my back/spine problem after looking into my MRI and X-RAYS. He answered all my questions very clear. Suggested treatment options, step by step. My surgery was successful and am feeling much better.
Let me just say, I was in good hands. Thank you so much Dr Hasan.
Dr. Hasan is an excellent Dr and surgeon. He is very knowledgeable and detailed. During my first visit he immediately identified an issuer that was missed by my previous Dr. His car after surgery has been just as excellent.

Reviews
About Dr Hasan
My experience is limited with Dr. Hasan. I have not had any surgery yet. However that being said, I like him and am planning on doing a procedure in the spring. I believe he is competent and does care about his patience. Thank you Dr. Hasan for you patience.
I couldn’t walk if Dr Hasan had not looked at my X-rays and MRI. He was the second spine doctor I visited for consult. He not only looked at the images but listened to my accounts and personal history. He is a great problem solver and listener. Few doctors take the time to ask questions and listen to the patient. If I require further interventions in the future I have total confidence in Dr Hasan. Before my surgery I needed a cane and a walker; now I walk without aids for 1-2 miles each day. I can climb steps, get in and out of the car and house with ease. Thank you Dr Hasan
Dr. Hasan did a C5-C6 fusion revision surgery on me in March and will also be doing a L4-L5 fusion on me after the 1st of the year 2025. His surgery was impeccable and his bedside manner is very caring, incredibly knowledgeable and skilled at what he does. My neck is so much better and still healing. He tries to avoid surgery by exhausting all other non-surgical options first and takes the time to explain it all in great detail so you feel comfortable. I would highly recommend Dr. Hasan as one of the best orthopedic spine surgeons around.
Dr. Hasan performed surgery on my L4/L5 lumbar. He did an amazing job! He and his PA Lester Ma were very compassionate and listened to me at my appointments. I would recommend anyone to him.
Dr Hasan’s treatment of me, a fusion of L 3,4&5, removed all my symptoms. The treatment was very professional and I feel years younger.
Dr Saqib Hasan was absolutely as advertised! Not only is he personable and honest, Doctor Saqib Hasan is in a class of his own. I have been suffering with back pain for over 12 years. Tried every treatment option you can imagine. Doctor Saqib Hasan assured me 90 % of my pain would be gone as he understood my complications and knew that correct medical procedure for my case. Long story short this man changed my freaking life!!!!!!!!!!! 98% of my pain is gone. No more herniated disc pressing against my sciatica nerve and causing severe leg and nerve pain. I got my operation on the 14th, of Oct. and days later with minimal pain medication I feel great!!! Doctor Hasan is the world’s best doctor. If you are in need of a procedure please, please, please reach out to his medical team. Greatest decision I ever made!!!! Thanks again, Dr. Saqib Hasan. May the Gods be with you!!!
Dr Hasan is an excellent spine surgeon. Rest assured when in his good hands. He is very skilled and kind, does minimally invasive surgery in a very modern way. He did an endoscopic lamenectomy on me on 7/3/2024, for L-4&5, after I had a nasty rear-ending by an aggressive driver. With the added help of excellent PT at SOL, I am coming back to my full life. With much gratitude, Carole Petiet, RN, PhD, SEP.
prescribed MRIs for my spine. recommended surgery
Doc Hasan has been my surgeon for 5 different back surgeries over the past 2 years resulting from an auto accident. I was very skeptical at first as to who to choose and trust when looking for a surgeon when I knew surges going to be necessary. Back surgery can be a scary thing but Doc Hasan put me at ease from the first time we met. What a most important in choosing a surgeon is that you trust him or her. I would tell doc every time he would come to my bedside before Surgury “ I trust you doc”. I would recommend Dr Hasan to anyone who wants to be assured they get the best treatment possible.
I’ve had several spine issues over the years, notably herniated discs in my neck and lower back. Dr Hasan and Dr Hou have been my primary doctors for both. A year ago Dr Hasan performed a neck fusion surgery to alleviate pain and other symptoms I was experiencing. The surgery was well advised and the team supporting me was outstanding in helping me through the surgery and recovery. Golden State Orthopedics has been supporting my needs for a number of years and Dr Hasan specifically and his PA Lester have been outstanding in guiding me through my surgery and I am recovering very well with the support of persistent PT.
From Larry Petersen On June 12,2024, I awoke with what turned out to be severe sciatica requiring surgery. I could barely move without screaming pain. I immediately made an appointment to visit my wonderful chiropractor and had 4 visits with her until it was determined that I needed to visit a spine specialist. Armed with my X-ray and MRI taken in the 2 weeks since this started, I visited Lester Ma, Physician's Asst. to Dr. Hasan. My intention was to schedule a cortisone injection to stop the pain. He immediately determined that my disc was intruding to the vertebral foramin, causing pressure against the nerve and that a cortisone injection would only be temporary. He suggested a minimally invasive nano-tool microdiscectomy operation to remove the part of the disc which was protruding and also apply cryopressed amniotic membrane stem cells to enhance healing. The latter part of the procedure with the stem cells is not covered by Medicare/Blue Shield, but my wife had had similar treatment using umbilical cord stem cells (called Wharton's jelly) to her arthritic shoulders with great success, so the $2000 cash out-of-pocket was well worth trying. Dr. Hasan happened to be in the office that day and we consulted with him. He tried his very best to schedule this operation for a few days later (July 1) since I was in such excruciating pain. This turned out not to work for us, but his back-up date of July 17 would. On July 17, I had the procedure at 10:30 a.m., was recovered by 4 pm that day and could walk out of the surgery center if insurance protocol hadn't dictated that a wheelchair to the car was required. I was prescribed pain medication after the surgery which I followed to the letter, so I don't know if I would have been pain free without them. Regardless, I felt no pain, the surgery site was only about 1/2" square at most and was completely healed in 4 weeks. I have many friends who have had back surgery and their recovery was long, arduous and left them with long scars and lack of mobility. I wore a special back-brace for 6 weeks. I live in a 3-story home and was up and down all flights of stairs immediately following the operation. I followed all suggested protocols give me in booklet form and also those suggested by Lester Ma and Dr. Hasan. I will still be very careful but I am certain that this operation was a complete unmitigated success. It was so easy and painfree. I would recommend the discectomy operation, the amniotic membrane and particularly Dr. Hasan with 5 Gold Stars for an excellently masterful job!!!
Front desk is nice and courteous. Dr Hasan very knowledgeable about his profession and I would recommend him to anyone
Dr. Hasan performed endoscopic spine surgery on me July 29, 2024. He expected it to be straightforward, and to complete the surgery within 45 minutes. However, upon inserting the camera, he saw what other tests and x-rays did not. My disc, which should have had the texture of cooked crabmeat, was totally calcified, hard, and attached to the sheath which protected my spinal cord. Correcting the problem was very difficult, but Dr. Hasan and his team were pros, and had the training and expertise to correct the problem without damaging the sheath or my spinal cord. He plodded along, carefully detaching the calcified disc. It took hours to perform the surgery. I am incredibly grateful that my health and safety were more important to him than keeping his surgery schedule.
Dr. Hassan very detail oriented min processing all my test results and preparing a corrective plan of action. I am confident and comfortable with Dr. Hassan as my Orthopedic Specialist Surgeon. I don't have to continue suffering anymore**
Dr. Hasan and his team have been great so far in helping me with my neck problem. I was referred to him by Dr. Pitcher (who's amazing!) Dr. Hasan reviewed my MRI in detail with me. He wanted me to see what's going on! He was all...'do you see what I'm telling you? Ok, keep remembering that, that's what it should look like, now look at this...' One time I looked away from the screen he was showing me, to look at the print out explaining the MRI. He was all...don't look at that! I was all...OK! He wanted me to be on the same page with him. I remember saying "understood!" when he said 'don't look at that, look at what I showing you.' He's passionate about what he does. He's serious about helping people. He next performed a physical examination and asked questions to continue his efforts in coming to a diagnosis. My best recollection of his communication to me: "It's my responsibility to tell you need surgery..." I actually wasn't blown away hearing this. I mean I've been suffering for a long time. I'm glad to know that #1 I have a problem identified, and #2 Dr. Hasan is leading the way with a way to address it. The scribe, Amy! OMG! so nice! She spoke with me to provide some details, like formal name of my diagnosis, name of procedure, some of what to expect, next steps -- and she even wrote down her email address for me, said just email me if you have any questions that come up. Lastly, the scheduler, rockstar! That's Yolanda. I mean how does she keep all of the details straight? She knows all of my details, plus she doing all of the others and I can barely keep my details straight (actually, I can). Yolanda has been real nice too. Next, I'm looking forward to meeting Physician Assistant, Lester Ma for my pre-op appointment. Surgery is scheduled for early November. So, to be continued....So far, thank you Dr. Hasan and team!
Smart Doctor....Great Surgeon!
Dr Hasan is extremely knowledgeable. He quickly pinpointed the issue, demonstrated root cause via epidural steroids injection and suggested least traumatic therapeutic options. I picked the surgery route given the miraculous effect from the epidurals, feel in very good hands !! 🩻
Dr. Hasan . I went with him for second opinion he was very clear with me explaining everything about my surgery The way he treated me. I wish he was the one to do my surgery. He is a excellent person trying to help patience. I totally recommend him.
As of today, I am 8 weeks post-op since my endoscopic spine surgery with Dr. Hasan. I don’t know why I waited so long and thankfully I was fortunate to come under Dr’s control. Best thing that ever happened to me. I have been dealing with herniated discs pushing into my nerve causing sciatica with numbness and pain down my legs causing me to have a difficult time standing/walking for any length of time. I immediately felt 1000% better after coming to after the procedure! The whole experience with Dr. Hasan, Lester and the rest of the team has been first rate professional and you are in great hands with them. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Superb clinician, healthcare professional, and person. Dr. Hasan made me feel very seen after dealing with ongoing issues with my neck and back from a recent accident i experienced while in PT school. To put it simply, as a soon to be clinician, I hope to provide my futute patients the comfort, support, and genuinepositive outlook that Dr. Hasan has given me.
I have been dealing with back pain for years. I was amazed at the results, no more nerve pain. Dr. Hasan was very professional and explained the sugery very well. Best endoscopic spine surgeon out there. Excellent after care and the staff is great also.
Prior to meeting Dr. Hasan I had severe concerns about considering any kind of back/spine surgery. Upon meeting him I was instantly put at ease. Not only was he personable and kind, right away, he also exuded confidence after viewing my MRI. My experience from the first meeting, through the second visit, the pre operative visit, and finally the day of surgery was first class. His demeanor of kindness and confidence never varied. Dr. Hasan's office team is fantastic. So kind and easy to work with. Shout out to Kyle and Amy! The entire team takes their role personally and truly makes you feel like you're going to be well taken care of. The surgical scheduler, Yolanda, was also wonderful and truly made the run-up to surgery very easy. Dr. Ma, the surgical assistant, was also very professional and personable. Great socks Dr. Ma! My surgical results and post-op care has progressed as well as can be expected. Bottom line, before the surgery I couldn't stand or walk. Now I can. Thanks Dr. Hasan!
Dr. Hasan performed endoscopic spine surgery on me in June, 2024, and I am amazed! Not only has it changed my life for the better, but I am close to being pain-free. Dr. Hasan has the BEST bedside manner and is the kindest surgeon I have ever met. I would definitely recommend seeing him for all your spine issues.
I feel incredibly grateful for having found Dr. Hasan while researching surgeons who perform endoscopic spine surgery. By way of background, I had a previous spine surgery at UCSF 10+ years ago for a bilateral laminectomy and discectomy on a different level than where my most recent issues were. That surgery was performed as open procedure through a 3-4 inch incision. As a result, I have a sound frame of reference for the difference between minimally invasive spine surgery and the traditional open procedures performed by most spine surgeons. I initially saw Lester Ma, Dr. Hasan's PA. Lester did a thorough examination of my condition and evaluated the MRI. He listened carefully to my concerns and answered all of my questions. Very importantly, he helped facilitate seeing Dr. Hasan on an expedited basis. When I first saw Dr. Hasan, I was suffering from acute pain due to a badly herniated disc and stenosis that was impinging upon the nerve root. I found Dr. Hasan very engaging and genuinely concerned about my condition. My pain level ranged from 0-10, depending upon my body position -- often times spiking to a 10 without any warning. As an otherwise very active person, I went from being very physically fit to someone who could barely walk -- all within about a 3 mos period. I had also begun to lose muscle strength in one of my feet. Dr. Hasan recommended a discectomy, laminectomy and foraminotomy. He worked to get me into his schedule within a few weeks, and performed the surgery in an outpatient surgery center. The surgery went smoothly and I was home within about 3 hours following its completion. All three procedures were performed through a single, tiny incision about the diameter of a pencil which allowed for the insertion of the endoscope. I could not be happier with the outcome. I was free of all the acute pain immediately following the surgery. Due to Dr. Hasan's highly skilled use of the endoscope, there was minimal tissue disruption or the need to cut muscle to enter the surgical site. I had very mild to almost non-existent post-op soreness that I could easily manage by taking occasional Tylenol. I never needed opioids. The day following surgery, I was able to walk almost 2 miles, and a week post-op, I walked 5 miles without any pain or soreness. I continue to gain strength and stamina, and look forward to starting PT which will put me on a path back to the resumption of my normal physical activities. The comparison between the minimally invasive surgery performed by Dr. Hasan and my previous open spine surgery is literally a "night and day" difference. There is considerable tissue and muscle disruption in open procedures, and therefore the risk to the patient is much higher. Also, the associated pain is much higher and the recovery time is much longer. I highly recommend Dr. Hasan and his team! They are world-class in their field!
100% see Dr Hasan! Before seeing him. I was hunched over, and functioning at about 25%. 2 months after surgery, I feel so much better (about 90%.) I highly recommend Dr Hasan and his team. A very kind and caring group of people.
I met Dr. Hassan a year after I fell from playing pickleball and he was the only one who offered to assist me. He was so kind, friendly, knowledgeable and offered to help me as soon as he was able. He exuded compassion and humanity. Apart from that he is cutting edge with his techniques and dare I say his attitude. As an x RN you would be really fortunate to have him as your surgeon.
Dr. Hasan is the best surgeon and doctor. I have been in pain for as long as I can remember. I couldn't walk, sit or run or do anything without severe pain in my back and leg and every orthopedic doctor I visited before him said I need to manage the pain as a surgery on my spine might not help. I learnt to live with the pain and almost lost hope till I met Dr. Hasan. He suggested 'endoscopic spine surgery' to relieve my pain. I was skeptical at first but he was so confident that it would work. I took a chance and I am so happy that I did. The day I had the surgery, I noticed a huge difference in my pain. It was almost gone. A few days in, I woke up to no pain at all! I did not have any pain in my leg or back! I couldn't believe it myself. I was so happy, I had tears in my eyes! I was pain free! He is one of the very few doctors capable of performing this surgery and THE best in the bay area. Period. He is truly exceptional. He really cares for his patients and goes above and beyond for them. And Lester, his physician assistant is an amazing extension to Dr. Hasan. I am so happy to have found him and his team. I cannot thank Dr. Hasan enough for giving me my life back!

Dr. Hasan and his staff are very professional. He did a excellent job diagnosing my ongoing pain and orthopedic health issues. He was VERY responsive to my pain and took care of me quite expeditiously and thoroughly. My state of the art endoscopic spinal surgery went off as planned and was very successful. His cutting edge knowledge and surgical techniques were miraculous. I am now 70%-80% better than I have been in over 20 years. I expect to get even better as I move forward with my Physical Therapy and time. Post OP, his PA, Lester Ma, listened to my updates, gave me appropriate guidance and care as well as passing on a complete accounting of everything we went over to Dr. Hasan. During this entire process, his front office staff did an Excellent job getting all my test requests sent to my insurance and then following up with me in a very timely manner. Excellent! I am so happy with the results thus far, that I am seeking his help with other orthopedic issues I have that other surgeons have not been able to fix.
Dr. Hasan was very professional and performed an Endoscopic spine surgery on the disc between L1/L2. this eliminated the excruciating pain that I had been suffering from for 4 months. I have been given my quality of life back for the time being. I am grateful for the relief.
Dr Hasan, is a very good Orthopedic medical professional. Highly recommend.☺️
Outstanding Surgeon! Great Personality, thorough, takes time to assure understandings,. A definite 5-STAR!
Dr. Hassan is a great doctor. Personable, and knowledgeable. I trust him.
Dr Hasan is amazing and went over everything step by step for my treatment after my accident! Will keep my care under him throughout my recovery.

Dr. Hasan is a wonderful, knowledgeable, confident and friendly physician! He listens intently to your concerns and needs and addresses them all. I am so happy to be under his care!
Dr. Hasan is the best surgeon.
I met Dr. Hasan in August 2023 after another doctor in the practice ordered an MRI. I'd been having pain in my neck and shoulder for years, had tried multiple treatment methods, and was honestly at my wits' end. Dr. Hasan and his PA, Lester Ma, reviewed the MRI results with me and gave me options for next steps. Although I was nervous about the prospect of surgery, it was clear that it was likely the best course of action. Dr. Hasan facilitated an initial cortisol injection and then scheduled me for a December procedure, based on the best time for me to take a short medical leave. Leading up to and after the surgery, both Dr. Hasan and Lester were thorough and incredibly patient with my many questions. Though the surgery was a success, I had some inflammation and nerve issues that persisted beyond a couple of weeks. Dr. Hasan rush-ordered tests to understand what was happening, adjusted my medications as needed, and again rush-ordered some additional cortisol shots to help with the inflammation. I've never had surgery or any serious medical problems so this was all unfamiliar territory. Feeling that I had a doctor who was 100% committed to my successful recovery helped me feel calm and confident that everything would work out. I'm now in the final phase of my recovery, doing physical therapy and I can already see the positive impacts to my pain and well-being. I have every confidence that I'll be back up and running and better than ever when I finish my treatment. Given how long I was in pain (and without understanding why), I am especially grateful how quickly we moved from diagnosis to successful treatment. I would highly recommend anyone needing a spine surgeon to consider Golden State and Dr. Hasan.
I recently had the pleasure of consulting with Dr. Saqib Hasan, and I am compelled to share my overwhelmingly positive experience. From the moment I walked into his office, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism, setting the tone for what proved to be an outstanding consultation. Dr. Hasan immediately impressed me with his deep knowledge and expertise in orthopedic medicine. He took the time to listen attentively to my concerns, patiently addressing each one with a level of care and understanding that instantly put me at ease. His ability to explain complex medical concepts in a way that was easily understandable was truly remarkable. What stood out most during my consultation with Dr. Hasan was his genuine commitment to exploring all possible treatment options tailored to my specific needs. He carefully laid out the pros and cons of each approach, empowering me to make informed decisions about my health. Never once did I feel rushed or pressured into choosing a particular course of action, which spoke volumes about his dedication to patient-centered care. Moreover, Dr. Hasan's compassionate demeanor and genuine concern for my well-being were evident throughout our interaction. He approached our discussion with empathy, demonstrating a true understanding of the physical and emotional challenges I was facing. His reassurance and encouragement left me feeling optimistic about the path ahead, knowing that I was in capable hands. In addition to his medical expertise, I was also impressed by the efficiency and organization of his staff members, they were consistently friendly and accommodating, further enhancing the overall experience. In conclusion, my consultation with Dr. Hasan far exceeded my expectations in every aspect. He is not only a highly skilled orthopedic surgeon but also a compassionate and dedicated healthcare professional who prioritizes the well-being of his patients above all else. I am grateful for the exceptional care I received and would highly recommend Dr. Hasan to anyone seeking orthopedic treatment. Martin.
I had a positive experience with Dr. Hassan and his staff. He is a skilled surgeon, he has provided me with outstanding medical care. I have been pain-free ever since the surgery.
Very helpful team. Dr Hassan is very generous with his time. Listens to the patient, discusses the options and offers a reasonable choice. Very friendly and one of the best qualified surgeons. I am very happy to have discovered him to take care of my back problems. Recommend Dr. Hasan.
Dr Hassan has treated my Mom for a condition she has, the result of his treatment is outstanding, Dr Hassan is an extremely skilled physician within his expertise and beyond.
Dr Hasan performed spine surgery in my neck. His surgery skills are excellent. I healed up as predicted, with no complications. My scar from surgery is a very thin line, that’s fading away with time. I’d recommend Dr Hasan as a neurosurgeon to anyone who’s need of nerve surgery.
Dr. Hasan is an amazing surgeon, he is competent, smart, and kind. He uses new techniques for surgeries. I had a spinal fusion and two weeks later I feel great, and I owe it to him. He cares for his patients and the outcome of their surgeries. I highly recommend him. Thank you Dr.Hasan for healing my ongoing pain.
Dr Hasan and his incredible team performed a disc replacement surgery on my L4/L5 and L5/S1 just about 2 weeks ago. My expectations of a specialist doctor & surgeon are (1) they keep up with the latest medical research and surgical techniques within their speciality, (2) they have the proven education and experience that shows a tenure of focus, and (3) their logical approach to diagnosing and trying alternatives to surgery are very strong. Dr. Hasan exceeds all expectations above. He is clearly one of the top Orthopedic and Spine Surgeons in the country. Spend a moment to understand his training and how he continues to contribute toward medical research/publications even though he doesn't need to. Dr. Hasan is a perfectionist (which is what you must seek out in an orthopedic surgeon) and my recovery has been fantastic thanks to his expertise. His Physical Assistant, Lester, is also exceptional and a seamless extension of Dr. Hasan. Working with Golden State Orthopedic group has been on par with any other medical group experience. No issues with scheduling, emailing, or communication. There was no need for me to focus on anything besides finding the best Spine Doctor in the Bay Area and I did that. Thank you for giving strength and life back to my body!
Dr. Hasan performed an ALIF and PLIF surgery on my L5-S1 vertebrae on 11/1/2024. Dr. Hasan and his staff made me feel comfortable with my decision to finally have spinal fusion after years of back pain, nerve pain, and limited mobility. Dr. Hasan and his physicians assistant Lester have always answered any questions I’ve had before and after the surgery. Always friendly and helpful, I have found Dr. Hasan to be an exceptional surgeon with excellent bedside manner, fully confident in his skills. If you are possibly weighing whether or not to get surgery, make an appointment with Golden State Orthopedics, the team there is as good as it gets.
Dr. Hasan was amazing. He was so professional and did an excellent job on my surgery. My back is fixed, fully. I love what he did for me, and I can live life like I used to now. The team cares and works with you to make the experience smooth.
Over the past year in 2023, I was having neck pains along some loss of arm/hand functions. I visited various doctors, tried multiple forms of therapies, epidural injection, etc with minimal help. Changed providers to Dr. Hasan’s office, his staff was warm, kind and welcoming. After careful assessment and review of my history, Dr Hasan advised available treatment options. He was patient in answering my questions as I was anxious. His professional and knowledgeable answer helped me with a decision. Long story short— Dr Hasan did my surgery with great outcome. Am very pleased with my post op results and my current quality of life. His PA Lester also very thorough, professional and helpful. I strongly recommend Dr Hasan and his team!
Dr Hasan has been incredible in everything. I recently relocated to the US from India had to undergo surgery due to painful medical condition. I was lucky to consult Dr hasan and he was so accommodative and human in his approach which i cant describe in words. He juggled his busy schedule and accommodated my surgery on priority. The very next day from my operation i was pain free. I cant thank the doctor and his team enough for what he has done with my urgent medical condition.
Dr. Hasan sets the gold standard in medicine! He is absolutely phenomenal! First, he deeply cares for his patients and takes the time to build a treatment plan that is right for each individual. I really appreciate that he educates, empowers, and partners with patients on their health journeys - providing us with the tools necessary for full recovery. Second, he has a great attitude, bedside manner, and sense of humor, which really help lighten the atmosphere as patients are navigating unknown territory. Third, he is incredibly patient and takes the time to thoughtfully answer questions. Sometimes I feel like I'm in a med school class when we're reviewing MRI results together. He makes the materials and knowledge accessible to all. I'm so grateful to Dr. Hasan for providing the best care in the industry. It's been such a journey since my injury 9 months ago and the progress is thanks to Dr. Hasan's brilliant guidance and encouragement! In addition, his staff is phenomenal - they are an outstanding team working together seamlessly and providing the best care to patients! Thank you so much, Dr. Hasan and team!
I had suffered from chronic back pain for three years. I tried cortisone shots, physical therapy, acupuncture, etc., before being referred to Dr. Hasan for consultation. Dr. Hasan and his staff were consistently supportive, informative, and professional. Dr. Hasan offers excellent educational materials and his staff promptly responded to any questions I had throughout the process. Two days after surgery I suddenly realized that my chronic back pain had disappeared. I am optimistic with the continued care of Dr. Hasan and staff that I will recover and enjoy a greatly improved quality of life.

Dr. Hasan is an excellent doctor with confidence. My dad had a lumbar surgery last March. At that time, he was 72 years old. But he still wanted to do it because of the extreme pain he suffered for a year. He did try to do the pain relief injection but not helping. My dad felt so fortunate he met Dr. Hasan and did the invasive surgery. Now he feels almost no pain after surgery and the recovery was nice. But be prepared, Dr. Hasan is busy so sometimes the waiting time is long but it will be worth. THANK YOU, DR. HASAN!
Dr. Hassan's exceptional services truly exceeded my expectations. From our initial visit to the post-operative phase. His commitment to thoroughness, empathy, and excellence has set an incredible standards. His meticulous approach during consultations instilled confidence, and the genuine empathy he displayed made the entire process more reassuring. After surgery. he called my loved ones to personally deliver the good news of a successful surgery. I flet to blessed to have Dr. Hassan and his team and would highly recommend their services family, friends, and my community.
Dr. Hasan was excellent from start to finish. He explained everything clearly and confidently and delivered on what he said. His team was also excellent with Lester doing a great job of support.
Doctor Saqib Hasan is truly a miracle worker. I had severe lower back pain where my L4-L5 nerve roots were causing a pinching pain shooting down to my right ankle. I could barely sit, sleep and was crawling due to the severe pain that I had. After seeing Doctor Saqib Hasan for surgery, I have never experienced that level of pain ever again. I can sleep and sit peacefully now with no pain in mind. The after results amazed me after just an hour of surgery with Doctor Saqib Hasan. His expertise have completely blew me away and I would recommend him to any close friend or relative. The surgery was very simple but had a huge impact on me which I will always carry. He truly is the best and I appreciate him from the bottom of my heart.

Excellent care and treatment for Endoscopic Spine Surgery. Elimination of Sciatica in left leg seems to be working well
Both Dr Hasan and PA Ma were very knowledgeable and helped providing answers to questions. They called me both after the surgery and several days there after to follow and insure I was going well. High recommendation.
Dr Hasan replaced two of the disks in my neck and the pain went away entirely! Great worker and easy to get along with….
Dr Hasan is extremely professional & puts his patients best interests first.
I want to thank Dr. Saqib Hasan and his incredible staff for managing my diagnosis, assessments, treatment and surgical intervention. Although I expressed some initial frustration due to the multiple assessments procedures, which resulted in the prolongation of potential surgery dates, I realize that the outcome of your thorough approach resulted in a highly successful surgery for removal of the cyst of the lumbar facet joint and the amazing microdiskectomy for L5S1. I woke with no pain post surgery and only needed Tylenol the night following the surgery. I did not use any of the pain medications provided for potential problems. I woke the next day feeling healthy, normal and no post surgical symptoms. I have had NO pain since surgery and am healing well. I also want to thank the wonderful, friendly and supportive staff, Lester and Kyle, in the medical office and the outstanding staff at San Ramon Regional Center for my outpatient surgery. I felt welcomed and well cared for by every person with whom I came into contact with from initial admission staff to operating room staff, pre and post nursing staff. I consider myself very fortunate to have been cared for by this team of professionals. I highly recommend Dr. Hasan and his staff for orthopedic spinal surgery and his expertise and specialization in microsurgery. L Lang
Just meet with Dr. Hasan today and he was very helpful in explaining the surgical procedures in a way that a non-physician can understand. He has the experience and knowledge to help. Highly recommend Dr.Hasan.
I want to express what a pleasure it has been working with Dr. Hasan and his staff during my recent back surgery. He and his staff have been so cooperative and understanding. I was very careful in making my decision to work with Dr. Hasan and sought out a second and third opinion before deciding to work with him. He was very supportive through the entire process and even consulted with one of my second opinion physicians. The surgery took place without complications and my recovery is going splendidly. I would highly recommend Dr. Hasan if you are experiencing back problems.
Dr. Hassan recently performed endoscopic spine surgery on me. I cannot say enough amazing things about Dr. Hassan and his staff. From my initial visit through to my last follow up they were all extremely helpful, patient and kind. Dr. Hassan was extremely personable and patient. My surgery went smoothly and has been transformative in my quality of life. My pain disappeared almost overnight! Everyone was pleasant and patient with questions and scheduling. If I could give him more stars I would. Thank you Dr. Hassan!!!
Dr Hasan performed back surgery on my husband in January 2023. He had previously had numerous shots to deal with the pain of a pinched nerve. Dr Hasan recommended the minimally invasive procedure called OptiLIF, or as he called it a "sandbag". The product is inserted into the disc area and then filled/inflated with material that will eventually fuse the discs. Dr Hasan has the best personality and helping both of us understand the procedure, the recovery and both the best and worst possible outcome. If you want to better your life and get back to your younger days, he is the man for the job. Your best outcome happens when you follow his instructions, don't do what you shouldn't and do what he says. Although there were a couple days of issues due to the length of time the nerve had been pinched a change in medication corrected that pain very quickly. The back brace was a tremendous help and was a constant companion for several month, Thank you Dr Hasan.
Dr. Hasan and PA Lester are absolutely amazing!! I was suffering from an aggressive pinched nerve (C5 - C6). From the beginning of my first appointment and to this present date, they both have been extremely attentive, compassionate, supportive and caring. Both doctors attempted every possible treatment to relieve my pain and ultimately I did need surgery. I was so impressed with Dr. Hasan, there was zero pressure on having surgery and I was offered three separate types of surgery. I've never met a Doctor and PA who actually cares about his patients so much. Dr. Hasan and PA Lester's entire team not only makes you feel absolutely comfortable throughout the entire experience, but the follow up after surgery felt personal. This team treats you as family and really cares about you!!! Highly recommended!!
I have had the privilege of being treated by Dr. Saqib Hasan for low back problem that required surgery, and I cannot express how pleased I am with the entire experience. The surgery itself was nothing short of remarkable. Dr. Hasan's skill and precision were evident in the results, and my recovery was smoother than anticipated. I am genuinely grateful for his outstanding work. I could barely do anything without causing pain prior to surgery(endoscopic spine and artificial disc replacement), and now I am back to all of the activities that I enjoy. Dr. Hasan and his support staff were so attentive and just great overall! I highly recommend Dr. Saqib Hasan to anyone that has back issues. His expertise and the quality of care he and his team provide are truly second to none. Thank you for giving me back my functioning life!
Dr. Hasan is an amazing surgeon. He performed endoscopic spinal surgery on my cervical spine on June 2023. He replaced 3 of my discs with titanium discs and added a plate and 4 screws to assist with fusion in my neck. My incision looks amazing at the 3 month mark as he used a horizontal approach. It looks like a neck crease. Dr. Hasan and his PA Lester have been very responsive to any and all my concerns during recovery. I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs neck surgery. Maria
Dr. Hasan is an outstanding physician, and my experience with him has been excellent--here's why: He treated me with respect, listened to me carefully, clearly explained what he thought was going on, and answered all my questions. His approach is clearly evidence based, and he is on top of the latest research in his field. He didn't rush me into surgery, and helped me do my due diligence--via referrals to non-orthopedists for additional imaging and testing--to help ensure that the origin of my problem was consistent with his diagnosis. Because it wasn't clear how much of my problem was due to spinal stenosis and how much from a pinched nerve root, he offered me the option of either addressing both issues surgically at the same time, or trying a more minimal procedure first to address the stenosis, and if not sufficient, then do a spinal fusion to address the pinched nerve. I opted for the two stage approach. While I didn't get much relief from the first surgery--I fully understood in advance that this was a definite possibility--with Dr. Hasan's surgical skills and minimally invasive technique my recovery time was brief, and virtually pain free. I have now had the second surgery, and my long-standing leg pain has been completely eliminated, and I am again able to walk for miles with zero discomfort. So would I recommend Dr. Hasan as a spinal specialist--absolutely, with no hesitation!
My husband got the best of care with Dr Hasan. Both of us would highly recommend him and he got my husband into the best care facility after surgery. Thank you Dr Hasan Gary and Leslie Wetsel
Dr. Saqib Hasan did a great job of surgery on my lower back. I had pinched nerves in three areas of my lower back. Dr. Hasan did a less invasive type of surgery (using cameras) and following the surgery the pain in my lower back was gone. I had a very quick recovery and was able to start walking right away. Since then I have had physical therapy and I have returned to total normal life activities. For this who are facing back surgery I highly recommend Dr. Saqib Hasan. Sincerely, Jim Crowley
I had cervical discectomy and fusion July 31, 2023. I have had over 20 surgeries at this point, including lumbar spine, but was absolutely terrified for this one. I think because of how they go through the front of the neck to get to the spine. That freaked me out. My original date was for June 19 and I was at the surgery center ready to be rolled into the OR when Dr. Hasan told me the surgery would have to be postponed because I had taken an 81 mg aspirin in the precious five days and it was too risky for bleeding. After the shock wore off, I was thankful that he cared enough to not risk doing the surgery that day. After the surgery in July, I was up and about the next day. I did have to wear a neck brace for four weeks 24/7. That was a long four weeks. It was just uncomfortable. My neck was sore but not painful. I never even took one pain pill. I did take the muscle relaxer the first day and, after that, nothing but Motrin. I am very happy with the care I received and the success of the surgery. Thank you to Dr. Hasan and all his staff! I have attached a picture of my scar. It is healing very nicely as well.

Cured my life long lower back problems.
I have never encountered a doctor, let alone a cervical spine surgeon that showed as much care and concern for me, as Doctor Hasan. When diagnosed with 4 herniated discs I was referred to the only 2 cervical surgeons within the Golden State Orthopedics/Walnut Creek facility that they had (OR SO I THOUGHT and was told !!) but unfortunately I was not satisfied with either. I was in so much pain and could no longer tolerate each day and night without pain and no longer wanted to ruin my liver by taking ibuprofen. This had been my life for one year. Due to insurance issues etc. I reached out to Golden State and requested a referral to another specialist outside of this group. I explained my dissatisfaction with the 2 doctors I had seen and had exhausted what options I had there, it was then I was told there was one more spinal surgeon there and I was referred to Doctor Hasan. My first impression when I met Doctor Hasan was……where have You been, why wasn’t I told there was a third doctor? I immediately liked him and at last felt someone was listening and cared about my situation. After completing the treatment plan he wanted me to do to prevent surgery along with physical therapy (approx. 2-3 month) but they did not help. I followed up with him and he could tell my pain was still there. Doctor Hasan explained to me as what surgery would entail and what I could expect after the surgery if I was interested (it was inevitable), I was emotional that day and he was worried as to Why…I told him my fear was that he would Not Do the surgery. How many doctors are That caring? I have since had surgery but only for 2 of the 4 cervical discs. I saw Hasan for my last post-op today. My neck is feeling great tho it could take another 2 months for a full recovery. If you or anyone needs a orthopedic surgeon-Doctor Hasan is who you need to see🥰
Dr. Hasan has to be one of my top three favorite doctors. He's a great Orthopedics and he cares about his patients. My minor surgery was what it suppose to be...minor. It healed nice and clean. By the way...his has a pristine dress code above any professional doctor I have ever seen in my lifetime.
I have been to numerous orthopedic doctors for my back and found the Dr. Hasan was the most professional, knowledgeable and patient doctor. He explained everything so I could understand, and was generous with his time. He has a welcoming personality and I had a great outcome with my surgery. I really appreciate him and would highly recommend him and seek his advice again if needed. I’m happy to find an orthopedic I trust. Thank you, Dr. Hasan !!!
Dr. Hasan and his staff hv made me feel very comfortable going into my 1st ever spine surgery assuring me with "this is what I do" as if his name is the Michael Jordan of spine surgeons. I've had zero complications or pain other than the natural healing process tht takes time! Again thank you Dr. Hasan and staff I look forward to a full and healthy recovery!
Dr. Hasan has made a huge difference in my husband's life. I am very grateful to him. My husband has been in pain for the last 7-8 years - C6/C7 - 2 level impingement with pain radiating down his right arm (tingling/numbness constantly). After seeing Dr. Hasan and hearing the confidence that he had in performing the surgery that my husband needed is truly what changed his mind on having surgery. You never really realize how much pain can affect someone's whole personality. Since the surgery, my husband has been a totally different person. For the first time in the last 7-8 years, at his post-op appointment was the first time he was able to say that his pain level was at ZERO! Prior to his surgery, his pain level was never below 7. If any of you reading this review ever have any doubts on having surgery, if Dr. Hasan is the doctor performing the surgery, DO IT! You won't regret it. Thank you again Dr. Hasan, for changing the quality of my husband's life!
I came to Dr. Hasan in excruciating pain, from a ruptured L4/L5 disc following a fall. Dr. Hasan and his team not only got me in for minimally invasive endoscopic spine surgery as quickly as possible (within weeks), they've been exceptionally kind, accommodating, and communicative throughout the entire the process. I have gone from a 7-9 of constant radiating pain (+ numbness) down my entire back, leg, and foot, to no pain whatsoever. My quality of life has been restored entirely thanks to this surgery and I would recommend Dr. Hasan to anyone needing spinal surgery or wanting to explore their options for getting our of pain due to bulging or herniated discs.
Like so many others on this site, my pain was constant and debilitating and getting worse. Dr. Hassan thought there might be a couple of sources, but the most critical was a cyst pressing on a nerve near L-4/L-5. He performed endoscopic spine surgery six weeks ago and scraped away the cyst. Day 1 after the surgery, I was astonished to find that I was completely pain-free. To this day, six weeks later, I still have no pain and I am happily walking again and sleeping comfortably. The tiny incision is the only thing that remains, and that is less bothersome each day. I am very grateful for Dr. Hassan’s skill. It is important to also note that I thought the care at Fremont Surgery Center was excellent, even though my surgery was almost two and a half hours late, because of a patient that arrived way late for their procedure. Not once since the surgery have I even needed Tylenol - a definite success in my book. Thanks to Dr. Hassan and his excellent staff!
I went to Dr. Hasan after suffering from sciatica for several years. We tried several things short of major surgery; some helped, but not enough. I ultimately decided to have spinal fusion surgery and the result has been excellent. It's been about 3 months, the sciatica is gone, and any residual back pain is very minor. I couldn't be happier about the result. Of course every individual patient will have a different outcome, but speaking for myself, Dr. Hasan is a hero!
Two weeks ago I had an endoscopic lumbar disectomy performed by Dr. Hasan. I am almost 100% feeling better thanks to him and have barley no pain today at all compared to the horrific pain I was dealing with for at least 6 months prior to my surgery . I was on so many pain meds it was getting out of control . My pain lasted all day every day . Dr. Hasan and his amazing staff worked on getting me in to surgery super fast and today I can thankfully say all I need now is a couple of Tylenol to ease my pain . Recovery has been easy thanks to the minimally invasive approach Dr. Hasan takes . I can not say enough about this guy !! The office staff has always been amazing and the Fremont surgery center where my surgery was performed was top notch as well !! I am so looking forward to the next few weeks of healing and becoming the person I was before these back issues took over my life . I thank Dr. Hasan for giving me my life back !!
Dr. Hasan took care of my neck. He accommodated my needs and the results were just what I hoped for. Now I can ride my bike without my arms and hands going numb!
What was initially diagnosed as a pinched nerve turned out to be much more serious. My injury would require surgery. I was very fortunate to have been referred to Dr. Hasan. From the moment I met him, I knew I was in good hands. I was treated like an individual, not just another patient. Dr. Hasan was thorough and complete in his explanation of what would be required to repair my cervical spine and answered all of my questions. Dr. Hasan and his support staff were always very responsive to my subsequent questions and supported me every step of the way. Dr. Hasan is at the top of his field and his level of his expertise is highly impressive. I have, and will continue to recommend Dr. Hasan. Michele Hinton
A herniated disc had left me bed ridden for a month and virtually stuck at home for another three before I met with Dr Hasan. I found Dr Hasan, and his entire Dublin team, to have exceptional bedside manners. After an in office MRI, he quickly diagnosed my injury, suggested a path forward and helped me to envision my gradual recovery. My Arthroscopic Discectomy immediately reduced my pain from a 10 out of 10 to a 2 and I expect my upcoming physical therapy to make the pain scale totally irrelevant. I highly recommend Dr Hasan and the his team in Dublin!!
I had Kaiser for past 5 years after 4 MVAs. The 1st required Cervical Disc Replacement prior to Kaiser. During this 5 years, PT w Kaiser was a joke. They never touched me, I never touched equipment & was given sheets of exercises & sent home after 10 MIn meetings. After each MVA it took months to get x-rays & 2 out of 3 I did not get MRIs. It took years to get to a Dr whom finally Auth a facet injection. Dr Hasan took x-rays out 1st appt, had MRI 2 weeks later & about to have follow up appt. Quick, to the point, no delays. I am Thrilled to be Dr Hassan’s patient!
Dr Hasan completed lumbar inter body fusion surgery on my lower back December of last year. After over 5 months period I’m still going through therapy sessions. He is very detailed on his observations and findings, additional physical therapy will be required , I’m praying for my complete recovery. Thank you Doctor Hasan
I'm so thankful for Mr. Hasan's medical knowledge. Before the surgery, I had really bad back pain which would then cause me leg pain. He recommended that I get the Endoscopic Spine Surgery. After the surgery I started feeling much better.
I had been suffering from severe sciatic pain since February 2023. A MRI revealed that I had a herniated disc that needed to be repaired. On May 10, 2023 Dr. Saqib Hasan did a endoscopic spine surgery to repair the herniated disc. The incision was small and the procedure was about an hour and a half. The best part of this was the sciatic pain was gone! Recovery is minimal and I hope to be up and about soon. I am a happy camper !
Dr. Hasan gave me my life back. For years I have been suffering from lumbar pain and then a fall left me almost immobile for more than 6 months. I was referred to Dr. Hasan by another surgeon who said he was an expert in minimally invasive spinal surgeries. I had my lower lumbar fused in two separate procedures. He was so attentive and knowledgeable- a real expert in his field. 8 months later I am back to my old self. Totally worth the recovery! Thank you Dr. Hasan
Dr. Hasan is a wonderful spine surgeon. He was very responsive to my needs. His expertise in this particular surgical technique was a real lifesaver.
I was very blessed by having Dr. Hasan perform the Endoscopic Spine Surgery I desperately needed. I had been in constant pain in my left hip and leg for about six months. Pain medication did not work for me, and I tried physical therapy hoping that I would get better to no avail. Thank God I was referred to Dr. Hasan, an incredible surgeon, and that was the end of my suffering. Right after the surgery my pain was gone and felt so much relief. I, without any hesitation, strongly recommend Dr. Hasan for any spine issues you are dealing with. I am 100% satisfied with his outstanding service!!! Thank you so very much Dr. Hasan. May God Always Bless You.
Would highly recommend Dr Hasan. Throughout the whole process he was professional, informative and kind. I felt very taken care of/
Endoscopic Spine Surgery, as Dr. Hasan told me a very non evasive procedure, immediately after surgery, pain, numbness was gone. Strength was coming back into my legs. Awesome results so far.
Dr. Hasan did a lumbar endoscopic discectomy for me in March 2023. I have been unable to walk properly for almost a year. After the surgery, that night, I was able to stand straight, and I walked! What an amazing feeling! I had no pain, no tingling, no hot or cold feelings down my leg. Dr. Hasan, I can’t thank you enough for giving me back my life.
For years I suffered with lower back pain. With the pain continually getting worse I sought relief. I did PT and injections. I was was eventually referred to Dr. Hasan who listened to my specific issues. After x-rays and MRIs he told me the surgery was the best option. In April of 2022 I had L4 L5 fusion surgery. By the following day the constant pain in my back and my legs was gone. Yes I had the pain from surgery but not the debilitating pain I had prior to surgery. I was careful to follow post op precautions and do the physical therapy. Now a year later it is clear that having the surgery was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I am not sure i would have gone through with it if it hadn’t been for Dr. Hasan. His confident yet calm demeanor was always reassuring. He answered all my questions and always make me feel as though each question was important. And a year later he is still there making sure I continue to enjoy life without the pain.
I would highly recommend Dr. Hasan. I recently had spine infusion performed by Dr hasan. Everything went well. Him and his staff are so kind and caring. Excellent surgeon . dr Hasan truly gave me my lfe back.
I had severe back pain and loss of feeling on right leg all the way down to my foot. I met Dr. Hasan and he recommended a microdiscectomy. I felt better almost immediately after the surgery. I have been recovering from my surgery for about 3 months now. The lingering chronic back pain is gone and the feeling in my leg has returned. I am still going through physical therapy, but Dr. Hasan did a great job and I am glad I had the surqery.
Dr. Hasan preformed a lower back surgery on me in June of 2022. The surgery went without a hitch, and the post care has been great! The surgery did exactly what it was supposed to, alleviated the severe sciatic and lower back pain! At almost a year post I feel better than ever!
Look no further! Dr Hasan is the best spine surgeon! I have been suffering from horrible sciatic pain. I am a retired nurse and finding a surgeon you can connect with is hard to find. Dr Hasan has the best bedside manner. He actually listens to his patients and explains everything in detail. He even has a helpful educational booklet that he gives to his patients. He is one of the few spine surgeons that performs ENDOSCOPIC LAMENECTOMY. Dr Hasan operated on me 2 weeks ago. He did a superb job and I’m feeling 100% less pain. And the best part is I had NO pain the same day post surgery. I told him that he gave me back my life. Top notch surgeon…. I would definitely recommend Dr Hasan! Thank you Dr Hasan, you have by far exceeded my expectations!
I was so lucky to have Dr. Hasan doing the endoscopic discectomy I was extremely in need of. It certainly blew my expectations. After the procedure, the pain I had been experiencing for more than five months was gone!!! Unbelievable! I was only a little sore because of the small incision. I would highly recommend among my family and friends the greatly qualified medical attention I was fortunate to have with Dr. Hasan. He really walks on water!!! Thank you soooo very much.
THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH STARS! This review is for Dr. Saqib Hasan, M.D., a spine surgeon with Golden State Orthopedics and Spine. I see him at the Walnut Creek, CA office. Calling Dr. Hasan a simple “spine surgeon” is akin to calling Albert Einstein just a mathematician. He is an incredibly talented, caring, innovative and personable surgeon. Dr. Hasan is an expert in “endoscopic spine surgery”. It is changing people’s lives on a daily basis. It uses specialized equipment and small incisions instead of the old way of opening everything up. Which obviously reduces recovery time. He is not simply outstanding but he is unequivocally the standard-bearer for what a spine surgeon should be. He deeply cares for his patients, taking a personal interest in each one. Even though he is a very busy man, he never hesitates to talk to—and listen to—his patients. Dr. Hasan knows both the science and the art of medicine. I was facing neck fusion surgery. I had severe pain and numbness in my left arm and a lack of feeling in my left hand; I couldn’t hold a piece of paper. I was also having daily headaches at levels 9 & 10 for over two years before it was properly diagnosed. Dr. Hasan told me his diagnosis and his recommendation to fix it. Dr. Hasan and I talked at length. Dr. Hasan listened to my concerns and deep reservations regarding the recommended procedure. He explained everything thoroughly which eased my mind. He also understood my need to find time to have the surgery due to my heavy schedule as well as my need to get back to work as soon as possible. His concurrence gave me the confidence I needed to agree to the surgery. When I had some concerns after the surgery, I called Dr. Hasan’s office and left a message. Within minutes, Dr. Hasan was on the phone speaking with me. It wasn’t a nurse or P.A. but the doctor, himself. This solidified my respect and admiration of the man. Any physician that can take the time to call a patient directly is unsurpassed in my book. Truly one-of-a-kind. The result of my encounter with Dr. Hasan is that I recovered a bit ahead of expectations and made it back to work without losing any business. Dr. Hasan called it correctly. Now, five months after my spine surgery I am pain free. No arm pain, no numbness, full feeling back in my hand and best of all, no headaches; not one! My wife loved the results of my surgery so much that she has now scheduled her back surgery with Dr. Hasan. Enough said.
Dr. Hasan did an amazing job on my L5-S1 fusion. I went from an 8 average pain level to a 0, just awesome. Thank you Dr. Hasan so much, you're the best.
Dr. Hasan treated my father and the following review was written by him: During the course of 2022 I gradually developed first a hip pain, that progressed into a lower back pain, a paralyzing pain in my left leg, with partial numbness. In a course of a few month, I transformed from a 2 1/2 miles a day, five times a week jogger into a semi-crippled man. I was referred to Dr. Hasan by my physician, and he diagnosed the source of my problem to a cyst on my lower back. We agreed on a two-pronged treatment, first an epidural injection, and later an endoscopic spine surgery. Unfortunately, the injection caused only a temporary relief. After that my condition was deteriorating, and I started to worry if the surgery would do any good. I got very detailed instructions how to prepare for the surgery. Both Dr.Hasan and his assistants called, so I knew I was in good hands. The surgery took place on January 30, 2023. The preparation for the surgery was fun, all the nurses were very kind and had good humor. About the surgery I don't know anything, during it I was sleeping peacefully. When I woke up, I was waiting for the pain to come. It has never come! I was well prepared with four different kind of pain medication, and I didn't need any, except a few pills of Tylenol during the one and half day. My wife and daughter were waiting for me after the surgery to take me home, and they could not believe their eyes how easily and erect I was walking to the car. Since then, all the family members and close friends have been marveling how fast and how well I recovered. There is no other explanation than that Dr.Hasan must have a magic wand; I think he did a miracle. Now, two weeks after the surgery I feel very fit, and waiting for the green light to start my daily 2 1/2 miles jogging exercise.

My spinal fusion surgery was very successful! The horrible pain has gone! Dr. Hasan is an excellent doctor and a skillful surgeon. Easy to communicate with. Great bedside manner! I highly recommend him.
Dr. Hasan performed back surgery on my husband. He has been very helpful and informative through out the whole process. My husband’s surgery went very well, he is now 3 months post op and is so happy with the results. Dr. Hasan is wonderful!
I would give Dr. Hasan six stars if I could. One year ago he performed the endoscopic disc surgery in my neck and it literally changed my life. Prior to the surgery I was in constant discomfort with pain not only in my neck but radiating all the way down my shoulder and into my hand. I literally woke up in recovery in tears because the pain was gone. The minimally evasive endoscopic procedure gave me the ability to have a much shorter recovery period and on the road to transforming my life. Without the pain I was finally able to make fitness a priority and I as able to go from 240 to 166 pounds. I absolutely credit Dr. Hasan for clearing the way to give me the ability to make this possible. He is a gifted surgeon and a really great guy.
Dr Hasan and his team really care about their patience. From the diagnosis to the post operation appt, the experience with Dr. Hasan was better than I could have expected. He was thorough with all the options, details, expectations, and making sure I understood everything that was happening and going to happen. I would recommend him to anyone who needs an orthopedic surgeon.
Very nice people great service like that they take there time with you answering all questions and helping you in every way they can to get better and what they do works very good
I'm almost 63 years, hurt my back when I was 40 years old. Over the time I couldn't be as active I used to be. After a car accident in 2021, my back got worsen. I wasn't able to walk for five minutes and had consent pain. I became depressed and lost motivation in life. The back pain took over my life, I've seen three spine surgeon in the past ten years but none could convenience me to go with back surgery. When my pain management specialist told me that I had no choice but surgery I started looking for someone I could trust. When I met Dr. Hasan for first time, after two minutes I knew he is the one. He walked in telling me he knew what he can do for me but wanted to know what I Want. My respond was "give me my life back". He responded with absolute certainty that he cold do it. He explained in detail what the procedure was and the outcome of the surgery. He gave me hope and decided to go for the surgery without any doubt Dr Hasan performed the surgery on December 23rd 2022, it hasn't been two months and I see him every six weeks but I have at least 85% better. I recently started walking without any spasms or cramps in my right foot or lover back. The process of recovery for me is three months but I do feel I'm getting back to be the active person I was twenty years ago and it is all because of Doctor Hasan. He is an amazing doctor and very kind and happy person. I feel so blessed to get to know and trust him with my back. Thank you Doctor Hasan, please know that I do owe my life to you because before the surgery I didn't think I had a life. Farzaneh Soliamani
I have already recommended Dr. Hasan to several of my friends and their friends.I was initially so reluctant to consider any treatment related to back surgery but after many alternative treatments I met with Dr.Hasan twice (and yes, I did get a second opinion as well, with a doctor who proposed a much more invasive approach). I recognized that Dr. Hasan was the one I could trust. I am forever grateful to him to actually be free of nerve pain and all the other muscle pains that must have exacerbated my back issues. I appreciated the personal time he took with me to help me understand the procedure and his attention to preparing me for the limitations I would eventually face with a fusion. He also suggested dietary recommendations with an emphasis on fruits and vegetables to prepare for surgery and recovery. My recovery time is one month in and I couldn’t be more relieved with the absence of pain. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Hasan to my best friend!
Dr. Hasan performed my Anterior Cervical Discectomy Fusion (ACDF) procedure and I could not be more pleased. Dr. Hasan thoroughly explained the process including what to expect during recovery. He gave me time to make my decision for surgery and cheerfully answered my many questions about the procedure. Dr. Hasan and his team are excellent and I highly recommend him for this procedure. I am 4 months post-op and doing great! Thank you Dr. Hasan.
Dr. Hasan and his staff were very knowledgeable, the convenience of having all of the necessary services (including images and PT) in one organization was very helpful, and the endoscopic procedure used immediately helped reduce the pain I was suffering, and genuinely seemed to minimize the impact of the surgery and recovery time. Obviously surgery isn't always the answer (and Dr. Hasan was very honest about that and it never felt like a forced proposition), but if surgery IS the path you're choosing, I strongly recommend looking at the less invasive procedures ustilized by Dr. Hasan and Webster Orthopedics.
Dr. Hasan has given me my life back with endoscopic spine surgery. For several years I have been suffering with back pain due to arthritis and disc degeneration. It all came to a head in December 2021 after a fall. I was referred to a local neurosurgeon whose answer to me was that I needed to lose weight. I followed his protocol for six months with no improvement. Then, I was referred to Dr. Hasan. Dr. Hasan listened to me and reassured me that he could repair my damaged spine and that I could live a normal life again. I can tell you 3 months later he did indeed do that. The procedure was a two day surgery with a significant recovery time. Prior, during and after, Dr. Hasan was with me every step of the way. He is so knowledgeable and compassionate. He allayed all my fears, answered all my questions and gave me the confidence I needed to have this procedure. He and his team are the best! Thank you Dr. Hasan
I had been dealing with lower back and leg pain for years until I finally went to see Dr. Hasan. He quickly ordered an MRI which showed a lumbar herniation that was significantly compressing my nerve root. When I saw my MRI on his computer screen I cried. His response...."Don't worry, I can fix this." And he did. His endoscopic spine surgery (microdiscectomy) was a success and the follow up MRI showed no herniation. It was minimally invasive, and I felt better almost immediately. I couldn't be happier with Dr. Hasan and his team. I never felt rushed and always felt heard and cared for. PA-C Diana was great, and Kyle made sure I didn't fall apart trying to figure out state disability. I put full trust in this team, and I'm glad I did. Thanks Dr. Hasan! Elizabeth M.
Dr. Hasan performed endoscopic spine surgery on my herniated L5S1 intervertebral disk. Pre-surgery, I had debilitating pain at the joint and in in my right leg due to S1 nerve impingement. The surgery provided immediate relief and after 3 months of recovery including PT I am back to nearly 100% functionality. The only thing that causes me any discomfort is prolonged sitting (i.e. hours at a time), which can cause mild localized discomfort in the L5S1 area. Overall, the surgery was greatly successful.
I’ve seen Dr. Hasan for several years for both my lower back issues along with my neck issues. I truly believe he cares about my wellbeing and is an outstanding doctor. I’m extremely happy that he is my spine primary care specialist and thank him for all that he’s done for me!
After herniating an L5 disc back in 2015, I was left with a left hip and leg that didn't work quite right due to nerve compression, as well as constant and shifting pain that impacted pretty much all phases of my life. This was not a good situation, but I was, at the time offered few alternatives. In this, Dr. Hasan and Golden State have proved to be life-changing: offering multiple alternatives, plenty of information and the options for potential treatments. After thorough examination of the MRI and starting with an epidural to test the potential for surgery, I eventually opted for endoscopic spine surgery, laproscopic, to clean out the remaining disc material and try to make my solution permanent. Dr. Hasan and his staff has been responsive and helpful through out the process, from pre-surgery to post, and I am embarking on physical therapy post-surgery with a significantly better back, the opportunity to get back to working out, and, best of all, a lack of continual, unrelenting pain. I highly recommend Dr. Hasan and Golden State for their work and caring approach to what can be a really tricky operation and diagnosis. Thanks for the all the great work!
For many months I had been suffering from the excruciating pain of sciatica. Prednizone shots and pills offered only a few days of relief. During one visit to my orthopedic surgeon, he referred me to Dr. Hasan. The issue was promptly diagnosed (herniated disc impinging on sciatic nerve). He recommended endoscopic spinal surgery and scheduled me in less than two weeks. The procedure was quick (in and out of the surgery center within 6 hours). Dr. Hasan and his staff clearly explained everything before and after the surgery so there were no surprises. No pain. None. Not the day of the surgery; not the day after or in the weeks thereafter. The improvement in my life was remarkable. No limping, no shuffling and, for the first time in a long time, a full night’s sleep. At 80 years old I feel like a new man.
Had a great experience working with Dr. Hasan. He quickly identified and diagnosed my injury and need for surgery, and the surgery went very smoothly. Highly recommend!
Great Dr. who took all my lower back pain away in two procedures
Endoscopic spine surgery for treating foot drop and L4-L5 radiculopathy was a game changer for me. Prior to the surgery, I was experiencing severe pain and weakness in my foot, which made it difficult to walk or even stand for long periods of time. I had tried multiple other treatments, such as physical therapy and medication, but nothing seemed to provide any lasting relief. When I heard about endoscopic spine surgery, I was hesitant at first, but Dr. Hasan convinced me to try it as a last resort. I am so glad I did! The surgery was minimally invasive, which meant that I had a faster recovery time and less pain compared to traditional spine surgery. The procedure was performed through small incisions using a tiny camera, called an endoscope, which provided a clear view of the area being operated on. My surgeon was able to precisely remove the damaged disc that was causing the compression of my nerve, which caused the symptoms of my radiculopathy. After the surgery, I was able to walk and move my foot with minimal pain and weakness, my foot drop had been resolved. I felt significant improvement in my symptoms within a few weeks, and over time, I was able to return to all my normal activities, including sports and other physical activities. I am so grateful for this innovative procedure and the wonderful team of doctors and nurses who were involved in my care. The surgery was a huge success for me, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is struggling with back pain.
Although Dr Hasan is a very busy surgeon, he is very kind and caring but beyond that, he is extremely talented! He did an endoscopic fusion on my lumbar spine and all pain to my leg stopped. I appreciate him and also my follow-up care with Dr McCaffrey.
I had been suffering from chronic multi-level cervical and lumbar osteoarthritis. I consulted Dr. Hasan about a year and a half ago. He gave me epidural cortisone injection for my backache in January, 2022 and then performed 3-level anterior cervical dissection and fusion surgery in November, 2022. Both the procedures were successful and I am almost symptom-free now. I found Dr. Hasan to be caring, competent, and dedicated professional. He kept himself updated during my pre and post-operative period and encouraged me to feel free to contact him whenever needed and provided me with his personal contact details for this purpose. Being a doctor myself, I hold Dr. Hassan in high-esteem and salute his commitment and professional competency. I wish to take this opportunity to thank him for taking excellent care of me and would like to highly recommend him for anyone requiring treatment for neck or back pain conditions.
Dr. Hasan completed my endoscopic spine surgery June 2022. I had terrible sciatic nerve pain all down my left leg. Sciatic pain was so bad that I couldn’t run, go to the gym, hold my kids for a prolonged period of time, etc…very depressing when you’re only 38 yrs old. After the surgery, I basically traded my sciatic nerve pain for lower back(surgery site) pain. My sciatic nerve pain was completely gone. My surgery site hurt for about 3 months, but was getting better every day. I’m now at 6 months post-op, and my back pain is gone. Overall, I would definitely recommend this surgery and this surgeon!
Let me start by saying that I do not ever write reviews. This review is the exception. I herniated a disc in Dec 2021 so badly that I could not sit without excruciating nerve pain that ran through my glute and down my left leg. I cannot overstate the amount of pain I was in and how debilitating it was to be homebound for 6 months and unable to even ride in a car. Initially, I opted for physical therapy and an injection because I saw my sister have this same surgery (in a different state with a different doctor) and she looked like she got hit by a bus afterward. Physical therapy and the injection did not work for me, so Dr. Hasan recommended a discectomy. I was up and walking the same day I had surgery. Almost immediately I went from all the pain to almost no pain. Post-surgery recovery was a breeze because the procedure was minimally invasive. Damaged nerves are tricky, and 6 months post-op, I am still working on recovery (unrelated, I feel off a curb and broke my foot and that set my pt progress back), but things are going really well. It usually takes me awhile to be feel comfortable around new people (yay anxiety!) but felt I comfortable with Dr. Hasan and his team pretty quickly. Staff at his office and at the surgery center were professional, but also very comforting and reassuring. 10/10 highly recommend.
Excellent doctor. Had a partial L5 discectomy, surgery was minimally invasive, quick recovery, highly recommend if shots don’t work. My only regret is not doing it sooner
Had a pinched nerve (dropped foot) surgery with Dr. Hasan. It went well. I experienced minimal amount of pain. Six weeks after surgery and there is no pain...back to normal.

I saw Dr. Hasan for my back pain. I had a previous fusion in 2015 by another doctor. When he told me that I needed another surgery I was very fearful due to my previous experience. He assured me that this surgery would be different. He was 100%correct. I had a small incision on my side and a one day hospital stay. Leg pain is gone and my back feels better. So glad that I found him, he's the best!!
I couldn’t be happier with Dr. Hasan. He is an excellent, highly experienced spinal surgeon who is thorough, patient and kind. He helped me a great deal!
Dr Hasan is a outstanding Doctor & Surgeon I had a spinal cord injury i couldn't walk anymore I thought I would be in a wheel chair for the rest of my life. after my neck fusion 8 months ago, I'm up walking & exercising 6 miles a day on my recumbent bike and getting better & stronger every day Thanks to Dr Hasan. The Best
For many months I had struggled with back and leg pain that caused me many sleepless nights. The nightmare came to a close the day that I underwent endoscopic spine surgery performed by the brilliant Dr. Hasan. With the pain gone, I felt like he gave me my life back. The recovery was non existent as I was left with a wound no bigger than a pencil eraser. From the start, Dr. Hasan was accommodating, informative, clear, kind, and pleasant, and available. I feel like I am getting top notch service when I come to see him and PA McCafferty for my post ops. 100% recommend Dr. Hasan if you are looking for innovative and quality care.
Endoscopic spine surgery is not a field you want anyone operating on you. Dr Hasan is a true expert in this field and he really helped my mom. She had shooting pain down her legs and it is completely gone after the surgery! He was very open to non-invasive approaches and only recommended endoscopic spine surgery when all else failed. Most importantly, this is a doctor who will respond to your emails personally; prescribe drugs over the weekend and after hours when you are in need, call you personally when you request by email. He was there for my mom's recovery every step of the way! Most orthopedic surgeons have an ego that is not tolerable by many; Dr Hasan is the complete opposite! If you need help with your spine, look no further than Dr Hasan. I highly recommend this doctor. Thank you again Dr Hasan.

Dr. Hasan is an excellent doctor and easy to speak with.
I am so happy to have found Dr. Hasan. He has not only improved my quality of life, but is also a master at the work he does. It’s been 3 months after undergoing endoscopic spine surgery and can already feel a significant improvement in my back and instant relief of leg pain. This has been a positive experience. Dr. Hasan and his team was excellent, compassionate and caring.
I am so incredibly grateful for Dr Hasan and his PA Diana McCafferty. The endoscopic spine surgery feels like an actual miracle for me. I was highly anxious due to this being my very first surgery. Both Doctor Hasan and Diana were patient, kind, and thoughtful throughout the entire process. I highly recommend Dr Hasan’s practice and I consider him an endoscopic spine expert!
I had suffered back pain for a long time, not knowing how serious it was until I could barely walk. Last year, I worked with Dr. Saqib Hasan, who performed endoscopic spine surgery on my back. I was a bit concerned about the risks of the surgery, but after talking with Dr. Hasan, I felt confident that I needed the surgery to have a better, pain-free life. My experience with the scheduling process was easy, for Dr. Hasan’s office took care of that process. They emailed me instructions on what to expect before and after the surgery. The painkillers’ instructions were impressive. I can happily say that I recovered very quickly and with minimal pain; however, I was closely supervised by Dr. Hasan, who I saw regularly and encouraged me about taking care of myself, the recovery therapy, and following his instructions. It has already been 14 months since I had the surgery, and I do not have pain; I am almost back to my usual self. I have to say that the service at the Golden State Orthopedics and Spine is excellent. Dr. Hasan and his team are super! They are very considerate and caring for their patients. They helped me with all the paperwork my employer and the EDD required. Dr. Hasan was personable, competent, committed, compassioned, and empathetic to my concerns and situation. I like to ask questions; Dr. Hasan was straightforward but never condescending or arrogant. He gave me information online to get more details of the procedure so I could make the right decision; I never felt pushed. Dr. Hasan inspired me with his optimism; he is selfless, skillful, trustworthy, vigilant, and wise. I am pleased with the surgery results. I recommend Dr. Hasan without reservations for any back issues.
Dr. Hasan was very caring and patient. He spent a lot of time going over the options for surgery and was clear with the care plan. He was well-spoken and professional. We felt very comfortable with him as our surgeon.
Dr Hasan turned out to be a magician for me, post surgery with zero pain, got my life back. Way to go in his career for Dr Hasan
Dr. Hasan preformed endoscopic spine surgery and I couldn’t be happier with the results. I feel fantastic! Dr. Hasan and staff, especially Kyle, treated me like I was important. They listened and cared about how I was feeling.
Prior to my endoscopic spine surgery, I considered my quality of life to be poor. At my first appointment, Dr. Hasan assured me that he could help restore my ability to function and be pain free. At three months post op, I am doing great. I am 72 years old and happy to have my life back. Thank you, Dr. Hasan.
Dr. Hasan is a thoughtful, helpful and gracious person, as well as a great physician. He listened to my concerns and answered all of my questions both before and after my surgery, and I highly recommend him. You will know not only does he have your back, but with his superb surgical skills he will do everything he can to fix it.
I been lucky to be treated by Dr Hasan for the last 2 years. He is incredibly passionate and knowledgeable about his field. He performed endoscopic spine surgery on my spine as well and helped fix some major issues I was having. Whenever I see him, he really takes time to listen to my issues and doesn’t make me feel rushed. He is the best doctor I’ve ever been treated by! Thank you, Dr Hasan!
We were very lucky to find doctor Hassan to work with us my husband had a very serious injury to his neck that required A.C.D.F 4 levels. This requires a 6 hour surgery and of course is very sensitive and worrisome free some since. It is such a sensitive area of the body And so many things could go wrong. Doctor Hassan Was professional from the. Beginning. preparations, explanations And after...I felt comfortable from the beginning, Recovery goes as Plan... Thank you doctor Hassan!
Great job, Excellent care
Dr. Hasan did a great job with my L4/L5 surgery to allevate the pain I have been suffering from for many years. He is very professional, kind, took the time to explain to me the procedure he was going to do and answers my post-op questions. I look forward to a pain free back now. Thank you so very much, Dr. Hasan!! Keep up the good job!!
I went to see Dr. Hasan to discuss severe back pain I've been struggling with for a few years. After explaining my symptoms to Dr. Hasan, he suggested I get an X-ray and an MRI. During my follow-up visit to discuss the results, Dr. Hasan clearly explained my disc degeneration diagnosis and gave me options for healing. He came up with a detailed treatment plan that included acupuncture, yoga, and strength training. It's been six weeks since my visit, and I not only feel so much better, but I've gotten so much stronger. Thank you, Dr. Hasan, for the tools you provided me with to maintain a pain-free life!
Working with Dr. Hasan and team was easy and painless for my L5-S1 endoscopic lumbar discectomy. My disc herniation was pressing on the S1 nerve was causing severe muscle weakness, cramping in the calf, and numbness from hamstring to foot. The immediate experience after the discectomy procedure was painless, but required wearing a back brace for a few weeks while keeping to restricted movements. My recovery was quick, with prior symptoms being relieved immediately. PT is on going, but my back feels significantly improved and with no remaining pain at 3 months post op.
When I was 31, I herniated my L5/S1. I did two months of physical therapy, had two epidural steroid injections (not fun) and took Aleve/Tylenol 2x day for four months. I found Dr. Hasan and he recommended endoscopic spine surgery for the 10mm herniation. Not only was his office staff kind but the genuine interest Dr. Hasan took in my consultation (and eventual pre/post op) was unlike any surgeon I consulted with. I am married to a Physician Assistant who also said Dr. Hasan is the best of the best when it comes to sincerity. That matters when you think about someone operating on your spine. My surgery was an extreme success and I am pain free / walking without a limp for the first time in 4+ months. I am sleeping through the night and sleeping in bed instead of on the hard floor. Post surgery I did not even need to take any of the prescribed medicine - stuck to Tylonel/Aleve and was just fine. This might sound cheesy but I literally feel like I have my quality of life back. Thank you, Dr. Hasan!
My wife went through a period of Sciatica Nerve Pain for ~6 months, of which the last 2 months the nerve pain became persistent & totally intolerable (~8 or 9 in the pain scale). She was consumed by this pain & hardly able to think/do anything at all. The MRI report showed significant pronation of L5-S1 disc (~2 cm). We researched quite a lot, to find the most reliable ortho-spine surgeon to handle the situation & found Dr. Hasan to be that one. In the initial consultation, Dr.Hasan found & demonstrated the loss of leg strength (which we didn’t realize until then). Dr. Hasan recommended Endoscopic Spine Surgery. We took second/third opinions to reconfirm if there is an absolute need for the surgery & it turned out to be so. We went to very recognized hospital groups in the Bay area and found the Doctors weren’t trained on Endoscopic procedures, which have the least recovery time. In Feb 2022, Dr. Hasan performed the surgery with great care and the nerve pain vanished instantaneously as he promised earlier. Dr Hasan was very available, approachable & answered the very many questions we had both during pre & post surgery. This was greatly comforting! Endoscopic method made life after surgery much easier (compared to the other prevalent surgical method). Thanks so much Dr. Hasan for everything! You are awesome!
Top quality medical attention and care for my endoscopic spine surgery. Dr. Hasan is a rock star
Dr. Hasan is an excellent Dr and surgeon. He is very knowledgeable and detailed. During my first visit he immediately identified an issuer that was missed by my previous Dr. His car after surgery has been just as excellent.
Dr. Hasan if very knowledgeable and approachable and competent. I've had 2 endoscopic spine surgery procedures with him and my mobility and freedom from pain were immediate. The recovery was quick free of complications and I barely have any scars from the arthroscopic surgery he performed on me. I highly recommend him. His work has greatly improved my life.

Dr Hasan was able to diagnose what was causing my back/leg pain for the last year that another doctor missed. I am two days out from my epidural which he performed with no real discomfort. If the epidural does not provide relief, I will be going back to him for an ALIF procedure, which I think he will be great for. Thanks Dr Hasan
I herniated a disk at L4-5 last summer and have been in constant pain ever since. I read every book about fixing backs and tried every conservative approach to avoid the dreaded back surgery. After making zero progress with physical therapy and chiropractors, I started researching spine specialists and found Dr. Hasan. He's one of the few spine surgeons doing endoscopic and minimally invasive surgeries. Little to no tissue damage and quick recovery time compared to traditional back surgery, I met with Dr Hasan in December and had an endoscopic discectomy in January. I couldn't be happier. It's been two weeks and I have had zero pain since waking up from the 90 minute procedure. I went in at 10am and walked out of the hospital at 4pm. I have a tiny incision on my back with one stitch that I can't even feel. I still have a few weeks of no lifting, twisting or bending but other than that, it's like none of it ever happened. If you're terrified of getting your back operated on like I was, I highly recommend Dr Hasan. Spine surgery has come a long way and he's at the forefront.
I had a significant herniation of the L4-L-5 disc; after reviewing the MRI with three doctors, I decided to go with Dr. Hasan and his minimally invasive arthroscopic procedure. Wow - I 100% made the correct choice as the pain was minimal, and gone by the 3rd day. I had the same surgery 17 years ago on my L5-S1 disc and the recovery time for that procedure was significantly longer with lingering pain for several days. If you are considering or in need of a laminectomy or discectomy, I would absolutely recommend Dr. Hasan. Gary
I met with Dr. Hasan just once regarding my problem and I strongly believe I am in a good hands to resolve my problem. I would highly recommend him.
If you have spine issues and are fortunate enough to have Dr Saqib Hasan as a surgeon, you are in great hands. He is consistent and confident in his work. My sciatica caused by a cyst and compression L4-L5 is but a memory now. I couldn’t be more pleased. Dr Hasan did a lumbar laparoscopic surgery on me and I haven’t looked back. Everything he said is n pre-op was absolutely correct. After getting a second opinion and researching, I felt happy with my decision from the very start. The procedure was exactly what I needed.
I have had two previous back Discectomy surgeries both were successful but I just had my third Discectomy with Dr.Hassan and what a difference in my recover time and getting back to normal with out any pain. Great experience !
Dr. Hasan is awesome..I came to him in April suffering from sciatica and lower back pain… in May he performed an endoscopic Neurotomy.. I am so glad I did the procedure.. My quality of life is so much better now and I have hardly any pain.. I highly recommend him.
Dr Hasan is magical. I was living in lower back pain with pain down both my legs for 6 years, which got worse the last year to the point that I lost my quality of life, unable to pretty much do anything. My problem was compounded by my weight of 250. I went to a number of specialist, and did a number of X-rays and MRI’s and all the specialists said nerve problem and did was give me injections in my back that did not work at all one one the specialist even thought it was my hip and also did an injection. None of them caught the real problem. I went to see Dr Hansen and did X-ray and MRI and determined not a nerve problem at all but instability in my back and I went to surgery 5/3/21 and Dr Hasan fused L5 and L6 2 rods and 4 Screws. I work up and all the pain down my legs was gone. Now 7/23/21 slight pain in my back going back to work on Monday and starting PT next week. I would definitely recommend Dr Hansan if you have any kind of back problem. Dr Hansan is magical and truly have me my quality of life back.
Recently underwent minimal invasive laminectomy by Dr. Hasan as an in and out procedure in a local hospital. His conduct through a scary situation for me was especially helpful, being informative and reassuring. His positive attitude was reflected in his friendly staff, who even called me after their office hours to arrange my follow up appointment. I feel very comfortable recommending him for back surgery.
Doctor Hasan is the best in taking care of twisted spine from disk herniation. He saved me from the pain and misery. It took around 6 weeks returning to normal after surgery, but I am playing all kind of sports 8 months later now.
Excellent! thank you
I live in Klamath Falls Oregon and drove 300 miles to have him work on my back. When Saqib walks into the room he gives you the feeling that he has it together. He even convinced my wife who is not easy on Doctors that he and his confidence was the man to do my surgery. I like him the most for so many reasons but one of his best suits is his availability. You contact him and he responds within 2 hours. I would recommend him to everyone. Just a great guy.
Dr hassan was very informative and took great care of me, it was the first surgery i ever had and he and his team made me feel at ease. Thanks!
All the staff was great no one acted like a heartless robot. Dr hasan is some one I'd recommend to all who are in need.
This doctor right here goes beyond to take care of my needs with lower back pain. I was injured on the job ultimately needing L3 L4 fusion. He performed XLIF and I'm doing great from the outcome of this type of surgery. I have bursitis in my right hip do to the injury impact he is currently helping to give comfort for this as well. Dr. Hasan is a wonderful and knowledgeable doctor. He is kind and patient with me. ( I tend to me needed) You are in capable hands, I highly recommend Dr. Hasan
I had a good experience at the clinic!
DR Hasan Performed my 6th spinal Surgery, using perfected minimally invasive Surgery. I was able to go home same day, from the 6th Spinal Surgery DR Hasan performed: A miracle compared to the 5 previous Spinal Surgeries on my SPINE. Added Bonus DR Hasan brings and infectious energy Making going to the DR something to look forward to rather than Dread. DR Hasan can be seen at Webster Orthopedics In Oakland, Dublin and San Ramon. I am thankful for DR Hasan and Webster Orthopedics.
Prompt kind friendly care. Good tech!
The best care ever!
The Disc Replacement Surgery and Recovery have been PHENOMENAL thanks to Dr. Hasan!
Glad that I met him for my treatment.…Highly recommended ..Dr Hasan patiently listens to all issues and his gentle care makes your journey easy😊Thank you so much Dr Hasan🙏🏻
I really appreciated Dr. Hasan's help with my back problems. He is very caring and informative. He took the time to explain exactly what happened to me and had very thoughtful recommendations on how to fix the problem in the short term, as well as prevent it from recurring in the future. I've been following his advice for the past couple of years and have had zero subsequent issues. I highly recommend Dr. Hasan.
Ladies and gentleman my name is timothy hutchinson i am a patient of doctor hassan i recieved a total disc replacement. prior to my disc reolacement i had pt injections and other surgeries i want people to know that the disc replacement has changed my life i literally can do anything i used to be able to do prior to my injury dr.hassan is an excelent doctor who took care of me in every way that i expected this man deserves to be recognized for his skill i can say im pleased.he goes beyond what is expected
Dr Hasan was very caring. He discussed my problems professionally and guided me to get the best options that would help me to reduce my chronic back pain He was very efficient in getting the office to get me the referrals I needed . I respect him and would recommend him strongly
Dr. Hasan was very forthright, professional and personable in every interaction I have had with him. I highly recommend him!
He is very patient with you and explains everything to you as things progress.
Attentive. Professional. Diagnostic testing with explanation of results. Appropriate referrals.😇
I am a patient of Dr. Hasan who had a Spondylolisthesis Lumbar Region. Dr. Hasan is a great orthopedic Doctor. Patient, friendly and a excellent explainer of my surgery prognosis.
Dr. Hassan did a major back surgery on my wife last November. She had been having severe pains down her leg and now can walk, and even play some golf (with restrictions) without pain. Dr. Hassan's surgical skills were excellent... not to mention his calming and professional demeanor both before and after the procedure. While none of hope to require back surgery... Dr. Hassan should be the surgeon of choice!
Dr. Saqib Hasan was the surgeon who performed the operation following my fracturing a hip bone, His great skill resulted in returning this 96 year old to a condition equaling the pre-accident one. Dr. Hasan is a kind and caring physician who accomplished this while minimizing the patient's concerns and by counselling on improving his condition further.
Dr. Hasan is amazing! As I've said in another review, he literally gave me back my life. I just got back from a backpacking trip with no pain, and I couldn't have done that before surgery. I was in pain for a number of years, and tried everything before having surgery. Dr. Hasan starts with the simplest procedure to see if that's the answer, and then if it isn't, he goes the next step up. I like that approach. He listens, he's easy to get ahold of, and I am confident in his talent as a surgeon. I am hiking proof of that!! I'm also back taking care of and riding my horse. And I'm feeling that there is nothing I can't do! Thanks, Dr. Hasan!!
The Dr. was kind, patient, and direct. I’d definitely refer him.
Very grateful Dr Saqib Staff got me in right away and super attentive to my needs.
Dr Hassan has done so much for me and is such a wonderful person to deal with he listens to you and helps you along and he also has given me tools and things I can do to help with pain and he's just a joy to have as a doctor because you feel welcome by him and you also understand that his assistants are very friendly as well but he just does well he seems to no answers that people are looking for and he seems to know the treatment correctly he's just the easiest person I've dealt with as a doctor he's just wonderful
Impressive credentials and medical training, but more importantly very professional, knowledgeable, personable and to the point. I felt in good care, that my concerns were heard and addressed. I liked Dr Hasan very much!
Dr Saqib was great and the sugery was a great sucess.
Dr. Hasan has been nothing but accommodating and attentive during my course of treatment. I have nothing but praise for him. After having cervical disc replacement surgery, I am able to feel my hands and feet again after years of having numbness. I have and will continue to recommend him to anyone seeking orthopedic help. The Dublin facility is very nice as well. Rock on.
Dr Hasan i highly recommend this doctor to everyone else he does such a great job
I was referred to Dr Hassan after injuring my back at work. After a successful epidural to aid the nerve pain I was experiencing we were able to get a RFA procedure approved that should give me long term relief. I'm about 5 weeks past the procedure and the results are nothing short of miraculous. Can't thank him enough.
Doctor Hasan was very informative, empathetic and and very thorough in the explanation of the procedure. His knowledge of my problem was exemplary His follow up appointments have been very helpful and I would definitely use him again.
Dr. Hasan gave me my life back! I suffered from lower back pain for at least 3 years, and I tried everything from injections to drugs to acupuncture-- and nothing helped. I could walk for about 5 minutes before it got too painful, and then I'd have to sit. Needless to say, dog walks were taking forever! I really liked how Dr. Hasan started simple and didn't rush into a big surgery (I interviewed other doctors who wanted to do huge unnecessary surgery that was really scary). We tried endoscopic surgery, which was so simple, I didn't have to spend the night in the hospital. That worked on some extraneous pain but not the main pain, so we went a step up to fusing 2 vertebra together. I was up and walking the same day, and it just get better. It's been 3 months since surgery and yesterday I hiked 6 miles up and down hills. I'm back hiking, biking and I know I'll be back on my horse soon. I love being outdoors, and consider Dr. Hasan a miracle worker for putting me back out there! Thank You!!
I came to Dr. Hasan with a nagging herniated disc, and was super impressed with how academic and thorough he was in explaining my underlying issues and possible solutions with me. He had me on a routine that involved acupuncture and a custom yoga program to minimize surgical needs. Highly recommend him if you’ve been googling your back issues and want to talk to a spine specialist to understand your pain.
Thank you Dr Hasan! I suffered on and off with back pain and severe flare ups for many years and finally found a doctor that listened and understood my chronic situation and did not hesitate to provide me his diagnosis and how we could further pin down if surgery would be beneficial or other options for pain relief. He was the first one to provide an alternative to a full extensive surgical lumbar fusion. He felt that because I had limited to no disc or space between L3-L4 the spinal nerves were being compromised and causing the pain. He was honest and explained everything very clearly. I knew that if the surgery resolved even 50% of the pain I would still be in better shape than without the surgery. The surgery is called LLIF or lateral lumbar interbody fusion. mayfieldclinic.com/pe-ll… It's been 3 months since my surgery and I have not had any back pain like I used to. Im feeling so good, starting physical therapy and very happy that I had the surgery. Dr Hasan has all the great qualities that I appreciate and admire in a physician and surgeon and I highly recommend him if you are in need of pain relief. A shout out also to Kamaya, his Patient Care Coordinator, and all the staff at Webster orthopedics who are very helpful and smoothly run a busy office extremely well!
Dr. Hasan has helped me immensely. I have been suffering through increasing lower back pain, with pain intensifying over the last 2 years. I've had 5 steroid injections, physical therapy, acupuncture and massage therapy that have only provided temporary relief. Dr. Hasan recently performed surgery at L5/S1 level to remove a cyst that was pressing on the nerve root -- what a world of difference now! I am still healing but already have much less pain and more mobility than I would of imagined possible at two weeks post-surgery. Dr. Hasan's personable manner, ability to listen to me, and willingness to spend time with me to explain his procedure and expectations went a long way in helping me to decide to go forward with my surgery. He has been very accessible post-op via email and phone calls, too! I highly recommend Dr. Hasan!
I thank my lucky stars I was referred to Dr Hasan for surgery to correct a severely herniated disc at L4/L5 level. I had disc issues for years that I successfully managed with physical therapy and lots of regular core work/pilates and chiropractic work + acupuncture as needed. This regime kept me strong and pain free throughout pregnancy and for the first two years of my son's life. Then, after a move and other life events, I lost my routine and after 5 months of little to no regular exercise, I started to have sciatic pain down my left leg. After 4 weeks of physical therapy, the pain got significantly worse and my condition quickly deteriorated over another 4 weeks during the 2019 holidays. I was an agony, couldn't get out of bed and ended up on a cocktail of pain medications. An MRI revealed that the disc was protruding out about an inch, and multiple doctors confirmed that I was beyond less invasive options. Dr Hasan recommended an endoscopic microdiscectomy and explained that unlike traditional open back surgery, the procedure would NOT involve cutting through vertebrae and would likely have a shorter recovery period. Every 24hrs I was losing more sensation in my left leg, and I was worried about permanent nerve damage. Dr Hasan was able to see me sooner than other neurosurgeons, and the less invasive procedure really appealed to me. Before/after surgery was night and day. Within a couple of hours post surgery, I was able to walk upright without pain for the first time in weeks. Within 48hrs post surgery, I was off all pain meds. I am now 8 weeks post op and have regained full sensation in my leg. The incision has healed beautifully and is less than a half inch long. My friends and family can't believe how well and how quickly I've recovered and neither can I. Dr Hasan was very personable and responsive via email before/after the procedure to any questions that came up. I can't recommend him enough. I won't be surprised if in the near future, it will be hard to get an appointment with him because he is THAT good.
Dr. Hasan is a gifted surgeon with the bedside manner of a family doctor. He performed an ACDF procedure to relieve a pinched nerve in my neck. He explained everything to me beforehand so I knew exactly what he was going to do and what to expect afterward. He expertly executed the surgery then listened to any issues I had regarding my recovery and acted on them. I would recommend Dr. Hasan to anyone needing spinal surgery. He is a great addition to Webster Orthopedic.

I was referred to Dr Hassan after injuring my back at work. I’m about 5 weeks past the procedure and the results are nothing short of miraculous. Can’t thank him enough.
Dr Hasan did a lumbar laparoscopic surgery on me and I haven’t looked back. Everything he said is n pre-op was absolutely correct. I felt happy with my decision from the very start. The procedure was exactly what I needed.
I have had two previous back Discectomy surgeries both were successful but I just had my third Discectomy with Dr.Hassan and what a difference in my recover time and getting back to normal with out any pain. Great experience !
