Dr Kim is highly skilled, compassionate and thorough. He has replaced my wife's ankle so that she is walking again.
Thank you Dr Kim In August 24th I had a left tibial plateau fracture. Before I went to the er I thought I simply dislocated it until i realized how fast it was swelling up and I couldn’t move it at all. Went to regional hospital er for treatment , I was seen fast and the only ortho surgeon available at the time was Dr Kim Paul, when he reviewed the x-ray it showed the fracture but also said that they would have to preform a Fasciotomy because of how swollen my leg was and all the blood was slowly killing my muscles and I thank god for allowing this Dr to preform surgery on me, he SAVED my leg. I got another chance to live a normal life again. Today November 7, I can say I feel blessed that I have full mobility in my leg and I’m able to walk on my leg with no pain, as if it never happened. The only thing that reminds me of the incident is all the scars around my leg but those will heal in time and soon be covered up. Most of the time patients with these fractures heal within 6 to a year or sometimes never and become permanently disabled. So again truly I am blessed to have Dr.Kim Paul as my orthopedic surgeon, he gave me another chance at a normal life with two beautiful functioning legs. I recently had surgery on my foot and I am very pleased with how smooth & great it went with my surgeon Dr Paul Kim.My experience with him, his physician assistant Zack, & staff at Golden State Orthopedics & has been so good. All staff at VIP Surgicare where surgery took place had a good family/friend atmosphere. They really put me at ease. Even my anesthesiologist Saeed Kohanchi was so detailed with information on everything that was going to take place.I would highly recommend Dr Kim & all above mentioned to anyone considering Orthopedic surgery. After to two podiatrists and a pain specialist I was referred to Dr. Kim and he saved me! I hadn’t been able to walk normally for over a year and the two podiatrists I had went to said everything was fine. The second podiatrist swore I had gout. Dr Kim reviewed my MRI and found I had a ligament tear and he could repair it with surgery. Now I’m walking normal without a limp and getting to doing things I used to be able to do. PAIN FREE! I was comfortable with Dr Kim almost instantly on my first appointment. He seemed confident with his knowledge and experience. He explained things so I could easily understand. I would definitely recommend him. Dr. Kim is awesome! He is honest, friendly and helpful!!! Highly recommended! Fantastic doctor. Very easy to talk to. Helpful and communicative. 100% recommend Dr. Kim was so great, I saw him for an ankle injury, and he was so helpful & supportive throughout the entire process—from MRI to recovery after surgery. It’s obvious that he cares about helping his patients!! Dr. Kim is so amazing!! Dr. Paul Kim is a very good professional Doctor. he cares about his patiens needs and concerns. im glad he will be doing the surgery on my toe. i would recomend Dr. Paul Kim to anyone who is looking for a good Doctor and sergent.

Excellent experience with Dr Kim and all the staff. Very professional, not ru shed, all questions answered, great bedside manner, x-rays on site. Based on my initial visit I would highly recommend Dr Kim. Visited Dr Kim for the first time with injury to both ankles from a week ago. Everyone in staff was friendly, responsive and very helpful. Dr Kim was absolutely wonderful. While it is clearly a busy practice, he did not seem to be rushed in any way and after confirming one ankle as broken and the other sprained, he even took the time to explain and identify peripheral neuropathy for me. I highly recommend Dr. Kim and the staff of GSOS. Paul really made me feel comfortable for my Achilles tear surgery and was obviously very knowledgeable on the topic. During the consultation, he provided both potential approaches to recovery - conservative and surgery - and the pros and cons of each. He also discussed other types of enhanced treatment I could do such as PRP and stem cells. Ultimately, I decided surgery since I am young and wanted to get back to recovery ASAP. He accommodated my needs on surgery day providing me a sense of comfort and calmness and everything went well. 10/10 would recommend to family and friends Very professional office and staff. Dr Kim was easy to talk to and gave thoughtful advice with non surgical and surgical options. I appreciate his concise and clear communication. He appears to be an expert in his field of practice Great bedside manner, was on time I Saw Dr. Kim for an ankle injury. My doctor of many years In Marin County Dr. Paul Kim , moved his practice to Golden State orthopedics and spine. Even though Los Gatos is an hour away from me, I took the drive down to see him. Everyone at Golden State were very nice and welcoming. Of course Dr Kim who I know well and his Medical assistant, Max. Both Dr Kim and Max were very patient and gave me the time I needed. I highly recommend Dr. Paul Kim! Dr Kim understood the nature of the problem I was experiencing once i described it. He ordered an xray and walked me through the result with clarity. I broke my foot in the beginning of September and after two months of misery discovered that it had not improved at all. I demanded a second opinion and ended up in the office of Paul Kim. Because Dr. Kim is a foot specialist in addition to being an orthopedic surgeon, he knew what to do immediately to fix the problem. I’m so grateful for his expertise. I highly recommend going to Dr. Kim FIRST!
I had pain in my left foot for 5 years and no one could find the problem until I went to see Dr. Paul Kim! Within two weeks we were in surgery! After surgery came physical therapy! I am on my way to a miraculous recovery! I am so indebted to Dr. Kim for his wonderful manner, expertise and professionalism! PS.. he wears the cutest bow ties! Thank you Dr. Kim!
