About Dr Talarico
I fractured both ankles last year and was seen by Dr. Talarico. I felt well taken care of. Dr. Talarico listens and answered all of my issues…
I have had great care with Dr. Talarico. He has addressed all my concerns and follows up to be sure I’m healing ok. Would def recommend him if you need a podiatrist!
Thoughtful, caring and knowledgeable about my needs. Dr. Talarico addressed all my issues with concern and confidence.
Dr Talarico comes with years of experience and gives you all the resources you need to make an educated choice. He has a calm and welcoming demeanor.
I was involved in a hit and run motorcycle accident on 3-4-2024. The resulting injuries were; a spiral non-displaced lateral malleolar fracture, spiral fracture of the lower fibula, and tearing of sydesmotic ligaments up through my calf, some crushing damage to my left hip, possible fractured ribs, and a more than fair amount of road rash on my left side. I had been through the Webster Orthopedics treatment system once before for a hand injury and had a good experience so I decided to go with them again. My physician this time around (for the ankle related injuries) was Dr. Talarico. My experience was an entirely positive one. Talarico knew, and had experience with, injuries like mine many times and explained what the process of treatment would be, beginning with an MRI followed by surgery and then months of healing and PT. He exuded a confidence on the topic and had an answer to all of my questions. If your looking for a shoulder to cry on, or a doctor that's going to kiss your boo boos, Talarico is maybe not the best choice. However, if your looking for a matter-of-fact physician with seemingly endless knowledge of the ankle who will expeditiously schedule you for surgery and get you on your way to healing as soon as possible then he is the dude. I should also mention that surgery went great and I was well informed of what was going to happen before, during, and after. Talarico even managed to hide one of my small incision scars by following the outline of an existing tattoo on my ankle. In my experience, that kind of consideration is anomalous. I was able to get my surgery performed within about a week of my accident and his office assistant was extremely helpful and responsive from the very beginning and right on through till the approaching end. Dealing with our convoluted, inflated medical system here in the US is a nightmare. I had to visit many doctors and organizations. Of these, Webster Orthopedics/ Golden State, and Talarico specifically, felt the most organized and effortless to deal with. You can always get someone on the phone, appointment management is easy and straightforward, and managing disability/EDD was assisted and simple. If there was a 6 star rating, I would give it.
I injured my foot playing tennis, and the MRI showed a complete tear of the anterior tibialis tendon. I have had good experiences with Muir Orthopedics/Golden State in the past, so they were my first call. They directed me to Dr. Ross Talarico, one of their foot specialists, and I was fortunate to get in to see him very quickly. His diagnosis and proposed surgical repair was straightforward. I had an immediate sense of confidence with Dr. Talarico during our initial consultation. His office confirmed the insurance coverage and was able to get my surgery scheduled in Fremont three days later. The surgery went as planned, without complications, and their follow up was excellent. I have seen him four times since, to evaluate progress, and those meetings are always informative and motivating. He is doing his best to keep me on a slower pace of activities while the tendon fully heals. Physical therapy is going well. I would go back to Dr. Talarico again and give him and his office staff a very high recommendation.
Doctor Ross H. Talarico Is such an amazing doctor. Very informative very responsive overall amazing!
I was involved in a work accident and crushed my foot awhile back and fell under the care of workcomp. As difficult as it is to manage a care plan when being involved with workcomp Dr. Talarico and his team fought back and forth for me to get the care I needed to get back on my feet. Not only was he a FANTASTIC doctor and surgeon, He was ultimately the best advocate for me when it felt like no one else was on my side. If you deal with any foot injury, he is hands down the best choice!
Amazing orthopedic surgeon, really knows what he’s doing!
I had years of instability of my ankle because of an anterior talofibular ligament tear and underwent a modified Bröstrom repair with Dr Talarico. I was able to Summit Mt Whitney for the first time after rehabilitation. His bedside manner is reassuring, his staff are welcoming and professional. I unfortunately had to return for a fracture of my ankle which his conservative approach, without surgery, turned out to be the best decision Thank you Dr Talarico
Dr Talarico performed surgery to repair peroneal tendons in my ankle. Though I’m still healing and in physical therapy, I’m thoroughly impressed with him and the practice as a whole. He took my report of foot pain seriously (too uncommon!) and worked to get a diagnosis. It was easy to schedule the surgery and all the follow up appointments, including PT. His recommendation to add PRP therapy to the surgery sped up the healing and may have been the reason I experienced virtually no pain throughout recovery. He is a busy guy and talks fast, so you need to pay attention, but he answers your questions and gives you all the information you need.
awesome doctor and shows concern for his patience
Dr. Talarico did an outstanding job of identifying the source of my foot pain, a subtle overuse fracture. This was not an easy diagnosis, invisible on X-ray, ultimately requiring an MRI. He was clear about what treatment was needed, and gave strong advice re compliance, which was definitely to my advantage. I had a great outcome! I also got actionable, specific advice about footwear, and a custom orthotic directed at preventing a recurrent fracture. As a fellow medical professional, I give him an A+.
Dr. Talarico is a great Doctor. The front office will get you seated and in the back quickly. I recommend you giving this office a try.
This is an update since my initial review of Dr Ross! Finally, after a month since my achilles rupture/surgery, Dr Ross removed my cast! I can see now the incision is less than 1in long and completely healed! Also, no swelling! Basically, he used the same minimum invasive technique as what's being performed on Aaron Rodgers, and the results are nothing less than amazing! Only a few days after the cast removal I can already stand without crutches/help (although I was being advised to be extremely careful). I also want to give shout outs to Veronica! While all the people at the Oakland office were very nice throughout the whole process, I need to single out Veronica, who patiently (and always with a big smile!) changed my cast multiple times. It was just unbearable for me to have the same cast for so long, but all I had to do is show up at the office, even without an appointment, and she would always help me! Thank you! The pictures are before, after the cast removal, and the incision which is a little bit less than 1in in length.
Professional yet personal. Efficient without a rush. Detailed results shared immediately with compassion Excellent bedside manner
I highly recommend DR ROSS, he is a superstar! Dr Ross recognized my full achilles tear within seconds although I was previously misdiagnosed by another doctor (in a different institution). I really liked his supportive approach where he made me feel this is a very common injury happening to many people and I have nothing to worry about. Yet he was very clear about the lengthy recovery process and the discipline and work I have to put into it. He performed surgery on my tendon, and again everything was as he initially described. Throughout the whole procedure all the staff members were extremely polite, friendly and helpful. Dr. Ross replaced my achilles with an electric version that allows 0-60mph in 2.3s. I can jump 12 feet high and connect to 5g, although only if I subscribe to a SIM card. But the first 3 months are free! Also the charging port complies with Tesla standards so I can charge in minutes on any supercharger! I almost wish to tear the other tendon just so I can go through the whole experience again ... Although, maybe the last part of my review I dreamed while sedated during the procedure. Not sure, I need to talk to Dr. Ross again. But the first part is 100% correct!
Ross Talarico is a great man who helped me so much. He is very funny and made my medical experience spectacular.
This clinic I highly recommend here if you need anything. Amazing people and amazing service I will most definitely go to more appointments here.
Sorry to the reviewer who felt mansplained to. Not to invalidate their experience by any means, but as a patient who is a woman, I had a vastly differing experience. I had a very positive experience with Dr Talarico and grateful to have made the switch from another podiatrist. Dr Talarico was meticulous, thoughtful, and made me feel at ease for an otherwise unpleasant procedure. He even took the time himself to return my phone call to assist with my post op questions. Thankfully I don't think I need to revisit any time soon, but definitely would come back if the need arose.

Great doctor - tells you the facts and does not push unnecessary procedures on you. Empathetic and straightforward. Definitely recommend.
Nice personality and knowledge of my problem!
Dr. Tamari I provided a comfortable, encouraging and safe space for me after I tore my Achilles. I tore it Saturday, met with him Monday and had my surgery scheduled that same Friday. He regularly checked in on me - prepared me for a month long Europe trip I had shortly after surgery and helped me with any concern or question that I had. Having him as part of my care team during this journey made this entire process much simpler and comforting.
It was a wonderful relief to know that I was in great hands with Dr. Talarico with my achilles rupture that is healing up marvelously, confirming every aspect of his top of the line ranking.
I feel so fortunate to have been referred to Dr. Talarico by the ER physician who treated me after I took a bad fall. I broke my ankle in three places and was in pretty bad shape. Dr. Talarico’s office managed to quickly schedule an appointment for me and scheduled surgery for two days later. During my first appointment Dr. Talarico explained exactly what would need to happen to put my ankle back together….he is very calm, obviously highly knowledgeable and skilled and exudes confidence….that is invaluable at a time when things seemed very scary and out of my control. Surgery went perfectly at Alta Bates Surgery Center (an awesome place with fantastic staff) and my recovery journey began. Non weight-bearing for two months, soft cast to hard cast to boot to ankle brace…all with Dr Talarico’s constant reassurance and encouragement. He has the best bedside manner imaginable. He referred me to physical therapy, first at home and then at Alta Bates Sports Center. He is a great proponent of PT and I have to agree that it made all the difference. At my final appointment he declared me healed and was thrilled with my progress…all of that in 3.5 months and I’m ecstatic to be walking without cane or any other assistance. Many told me it would be 6-12 months. I could not be more grateful for the incredible care I received from Dr. Talarico and his staff. If could give him 10 stars I would.
Dr. Talarico quickly diagnosed my ankle fracture and gave good advise and treatment not wasting any time. I am very happy I went to him!
I saw Dr. Talarico for a foot in dire need of help. I was impressed with his humility & expertise. He knows his business. I had complete confidence in him. His intelligence is obvious in his dedication to get the best possible result regardless of how much time it may take. His honesty and humility are impressive considering his knowledge. Not many doctors would have been willing or able to get my foot in working condition because of it seemed hopeless & there was no guarantee in the result. Dr Talarico took on the challenge with confidence and courage in his convictions. I highly recommend Dr Talarico. He is one of the best!
i had torn my achilles playing sports with people 30 years younger, stronger and faster. At first i didn’t know the extent of my injury, but when it lingered on and on, i found Dr Talerico and he expertly fixed me right up. He made the whole ordeal remarkably pleasant and i recovered quite well, and a little wiser.
Thanks Need to get a follow up
Takes time to explain details of problem and solution. Felt well taken care of.
Dr. Talarico and his staff provide great patient services. Dr. Talarico takes the time to explain medical procedures carefully, and is a good listener. After my toe surgery, I experienced zero pain and had a speedy recovery. When I called his office to follow up on my surgery, he made a personal phone call to check in on me. On another occasion he did the same. It’s so reassuring to work with a Doctor who is excellent in his field, and also good at communication with his patients. I highly recommend Dr. Talarico, an excellent foot surgeon and caring doctor.
Dr. Talarico performed rather complicated surgery rebuilding my foot. The surgery went very well. Dr. Talarico has been carefully monitoring my recovery. I couldn't have asked for a better surgeon or better followup care. He takes care to explain everything and answer questions. Thank you!
After breaking my foot and suffering with foot pain for the past 7 years (after seeing 5 different doctors for the condition) I was finally referred to Dr. Talarico by my orthopedic surgeon. I found Dr Talarico to be an excellent and compassionate physician. He listened to my concerns and answering all my questions prior to diagnosing my problem. He started out with conservative options, prior to suggesting surgery. After the conservative approach didnt give me relief, he explained the risks/rewards and I opted for surgery. I am now 5 weeks post surgery and for the first time in 7 years I have a smile on my face. Dr Talarico is now on my very short list of doctors I trust and wouldn't hesitate recommending to my family or friends. Thank you Dr Talarico!
Amazing surgeon. Best ankle doctor for any ankle and foot fracture. I have so many people who know people who know people who got there bones fixed from Dr. Talarico. Funny thing- the few people I know with a horror story had surgery by other docs. Former UCSF faculty for 10 years- HELLO!!! Professional, skilled, good bedside manner. Everything I needed.
I pretty much broke everything I could in my right ankle when I fell rollerskating in February. The stars aligned for me when I randomly picked Dr. Talarico from my insurance website as my surgeon. I had three surgeries with Dr. Talarico -- yes, I pulverized my ankle! He is an excellent surgeon, very knowledgeable and transparent with me. It was a very complicated case...At every stage of the healing process, he explained clearly what was happening and what to expect. I'd highly recommend him.
Dr. Talarico performed surgery on my foot to correct a hallux valgus condition also known as a bunion. The procedure and recovery went well and is now fully functional. After putting this off for a while am glad it's done and would highly recommend Dr. Talarico.
Dr. Talarico and his staff were terrific. The office was well run. I got an appt quickly, they were always on time. The Doc explained everything in a way that was clear and understandable. He was relatable, listened carefully, answered all my questions, never made me feel rushed. And he did a great surgery on my ankle that has healed well and completely.
First let me say that I am a Dog trainer for aggressive dogs. protection dogs as well a horse person. We don't hurt but injuries are our life. The latest injury had me going in circles with mediocre Doctors (whom I do not respect to begin with as they just seem to hand out drugs and not higher levels of alternative care). But then I was in Dr. Ross Talarico's office. He KNEW exactly the injury and how to care for it. STRAIGHT up care. I do not need someone to hold my hand but I do need someone to pinpoint the issue and his exact words were "We will get you through this". That man helped me when I have been stressed for a full 4 weeks. Yup I will now listen. K9JS
Dr Talarico diagnosised and treated my foot problem with a wonderful result. he and the staff are very personable and caring. my experience there was outstanding. and I would recommend the practice to anyone of my friends.

Dr. Talarico has been treating me for two foot injuries I sustained over the past couple of years. His care has been outstanding. The injuries to my foot were leaving me very depressed as I couldn't even walk a block comfortably, I couldn't even walk across a room comfortably. Between a surgical procedure and an ultrasound device prescribed by Dr. Talarico I am now walking almost unlimitedly.
Dr. Talarico is amazing! He fixed my broken ankle and I am back to hiking again. Funny reviews- from some crazy people that never had surgery and looks like he didn't even treat some of them (from what they say in the review).... His bio reads that he is a 3rd generation foot and ankle surgeon and a past faculty member at UCSF in the Dept of Orthopedic Surgery. Well- it definitely shows! I thank him and his staff for putting me back together. Thanks Doc!
I had a major foot injury in Dec 2020. I am so thankful that I was referred to Dr Talarico, at Webster Orthopedics in Dublin. He went over with me in detail about my injury and how serious it was, the surgery and treatment plans and recovery time lines. He was also very realistic in setting my expectations about recovery and the time it is going to take. He was kind and answered the many questions, I had over the course of the treatment, in person, phone and texts. My recovery went according to plan. I am glad that I had my surgery done by Dr Talarico.
I had a 50 year old scare tissue flare up on my left Achilles tendon. This caused enough pain that it impeded my ability to walk. Dr. Talarico had me fitted for a walking boot and discussed a surgical procedure (Topaz procedure). This minimally invisible state-of-the-art procedure is done in an outpatient OR setting. Dr. Talarico did a great job in the OR. I would recommend him to anyone needing an excellent DPM.
Amazing when I read these reviews it is somewhat perplexing. It is pretty obvious that many/all of the 1 star reviews in this system are completely fake or made up. I wouldn't be surprised if this is from his competition because Dr. Talarico is such an amazing and caring physician and surgeon. I was in a car accident and broke my Tibia and fibula and talus and I was admitted to the hospital for an open compound fracture. He put my bones perfectly into place and I am back to regular shoes after eight weeks. My opinion is that Yelp is generally not an avenue for reviewing doctors, medical practitioners, airline pilots or emergency service workers. But I felt inclined to place a review after seeing some false or fake reviews. Dr. T is the best foot and ankle surgeon - hands down.
So, after seeing several other orthopedic surgeons and being somewhat disappointed I followed my wife's advise and contacted Webster Orthopedics and Dr. Talarico. In a nutshell, the service was great, he explained my condition and all the possible treatment plans. He answered all my questions thoughtfully and thoroughly. He suggested some orthopedics which greatly improved my condition and I couldn't be more satisfied with his service. My search has ended and i'm very thankful for finding such a wonderful doctor.
I really recommend Dr. Talarico! The staff is very friendly! If u need a dpm he is the one u need to see!
Dr. Talarico is awesome!! He's great at making sure you have the appropriate diagnosis and treatment plan for your condition.
My situation was unique as all are. I sustained an ankle Injury back East playing in a pickup soccer game. It was an oblique fracture of the fibula close to the ankle joint. Long story short i was put into a cast and flew cross country a week later. I chose to see Dr Talarico the next morning in a general consult, told him this is where I'm at, my circumstances and he made me feel confident that surgery was not the right thing to do with minimal displacement. He is a no nonsense guy who sticks to not only the imaging for treatment but also feedback from the patient on how to move forward (treat the patient not the X-ray). 8 weeks on i am in a boot moving to ankle brace and in therapy, and appreciate the conservative treatment path and analysis of my X-rays for PT. Just a disclaimer and to be clear, i did not have surgery but feel with the guidance, expertise and reviews that DR Talarico would be an excellent choice, certainly for non surgical guidance. I took one star off mostly due to the fact that Webster is very hard to get a hold of and sometimes hard to get answers once you do get a hold of someone.
Last March, my wife suffered a trimalleolar fracture in a roller skating accident. The emergency room doctor referred her to Webster Orthopedics and she was promptly placed under care of Dr. Talarico. Dr. T has been with her (and us) every step of the way and she's well on the road to full recovery. He's an expert, he's efficient and he's all business, which frankly, is what you want/need in a surgeon. I highly recommend him. Should you have any questions, feel free to send me a personal message.
I have had experience with multiple doctors at Webster orthopedics and they are top-notch. I broke my ankle hiking the John Muir trail and was airlifted out. I eventually ended up at Summit Medical Center and the emergency room doctor told me he had his ankle fixed by Dr. Talarico. Dr. T is straight and to the point. You can tell he was a clinical faculty at UCSF for more than a decade - it shows. Overall I am glad I had my ankle fixed by Webster and Dr. T. Six weeks I was in a regular shoe with an ankle brace and in PT. Overall great experience. Is also pretty clear that the one or two- 1 star reviews are fake. Likely a competitor. Sad.
I just got back from my 9 week post fibula surgery appointment with Dr Talarico, and decided to leave him a Yelp review. It's my first ever time reviewing anything, so suffice to say I've had a wonderful experience with him as a surgeon and post-op doctor. He is skilled, and has a positive and encouraging attitude. It's a joy to chat with him at every visit. He's a no-nonsense guy, who quickly gets to the point, and gives one a realistic timeline of what to expect. He starts off with sharing your x-rays every time. Two thumbs up for Dr T (and for Webster Orthopedics as well!) I can walk without the boot now. Yay!
I've seen Dr. Talarico for two severe foot problems, and he treated me very well with both of them! I had a bad sprain and fractured left ankle, which he examined, advised against surgery, and fitted me with a snazzy boot. A few months later, I had a bone spur on the top of my right foot, for which he rightly recommended surgery and performed a flawless surgery. Now, about one year out, both of those problems are fully resolved. Thank you, Doc!
I had a small procedure needed done and was recommended Dr. Talarico from my primary doctor and my friends. Needless to say I was happy with the end results. Straight forward directions to keep if clean at home and follow up was easy to set up. Definitely would recommend.
Dr. Talarico takes incredible care in his practice. I feel very lucky to have found someone that is so knowledgeable and thorough. He got me back on my feet after several bad sprains and had made sure I was healing correctly. He addressed everything I needed to know to take care of my injury, and is extremely kind. I would absolutely recommend him for any sports injuries!
I can't speak highly enough of Dr. Talarico. I broke my metatarsal at the end of January and was referred to Dr. Talarico. He performed surgery in early February and I was back walking 6 weeks afterwards. Throughout the whole process, Dr. Talarico was very clear with what he was doing and what to expect. Everything went according to plan. I felt he was very responsive to my queries and never steered me in the wrong direction.
Dr. Talarico is an outstanding surgeon. I broke my ankle skiing last winter, and Dr. Talarico fixed me up as good as new. I was back on my feet without a boot in 6 weeks, and I can't wait to get back to the slopes later this winter! Through the whole process He kept me informed of what was about to happen every step of the way and made me feel comfortable and confident in him and his staff. I don't plan on breaking any more bones, but when I do, I'm definitely giving Dr. Talarico a call
In November, I fractured every bone in my ankle and dislocated it. This was my first ever break and surgery, so you could imagine I was uneasy going into it. I couldn't have had a better experience undergoing surgery. Dr. Talarico was very knowledgable and honest about how it would go and what recovery would be like. He made sure I was generally pain free - I never once had to take pain meds (yahooo) and healed really easy and quick, in fact what I thought would be the worst part was the easiest and pain free. Would recommend him :) Thank you Doc!!
Dr. Talarico recently performed surgery on my right foot/toe for severe arthritis, a syndrome called Hallus RIgidix. I was dreading the surgery, hearing so much from others about the pain of foot surgery, and the long recovery. My experience has been so much better than I imagined- starting with a very detailed explanation about the surgery itself, and a presentation of a realistic recovery. He took care to make sure my foot/toe were positioned properly , listened to my concerns, and cautioned me about the level of activity post surgery to prevent a relapse. 8 weeks post surgery, I am up walking again, carefully and gingerly, but I have no doubt I will make a full recovery. I would recommend Dr. Talarico to ANYONE with any foot concerns- he is certainly a pro!
Completely tore my left Achilles RIP Kobe! I was devastated and Dr Talarico took care of me the whole way. Thank you so much!
I broke my foot and didn't realize it was broken. Dr. Telarico quickly diagnosed the problem, scheduled surgery for that very week, and repaired the displaced fracture. Everything was very smoothly done, well-organized; and my questions were always answered. My only criticism was that it was very hard to communicate directly with the office due to the roundabout answering service situation and often long hold times, but everything on the medical side was extremely well done, and Dr. Telarico has a great bedside manner.
I previously had two surgeries on my ankle, but the surgeries left me with more pain and less stability. For three years I told myself no more doctors for this ankle, no more surgeries. I then decided to try Webster Ortho since my daughter had an excellent experience here for her knee injury. I met with Dr. Talarico for a consultation. He did x-rays, a quick exam, asked a few questions, then ordered an MRI so he could see more of what was going on. I'll admit that my first impression was that he was not very personable, but after the second or third visit (some via telehealth), things seemed to change. I'm sharing that opinion because I read some comments that folks felt he was standoffish. I, too, am not warm and fuzzy nor talkative when first meeting someone, so it was not something that concerned me. The important thing is that once he figured out what was potentially causing my ankle pain and together we discussed a plan, he would spend plenty of time talking with me to answer questions and go over options. I never felt like he was rushed, even though he always had patients waiting for him. He was professional, kind and caring, and most importantly, experienced and knowledgeable. Now that I'm done with the cast and the walking boot, I'm on to physical therapy with no reason to continue seeing Dr. Talarico . . . and that is a bit sad because he's one of the best physicians I have ever had. Oh, and yes - less ankle pain! 5 stars for Dr. Talarico, and 5 stars for the staff at Webster Orthopedics!
Dr. Talarico is an excellent doctor who's treated me for the last 3 years. He's very knowledgeable, exceptional bed side manner, honest, compassionate, helpful & empathetic. I'm blessed to have him as my doctor. If you need a foot & ankle doctor, I highly recommend Dr. Talarico.
I dropped a motorcycle on my ankle. After seeing Dr. Talarico and with his advice, my ankle healed in less than half the typical time for my type of injury!! One of the best and most personable doctors I have seen in my long years!!!
Dr Talarico Rocks! He's right at that place in a Orthopedics career where he has decades of experience and still has fresh knowledge of what is the latest techniques and resources for addressing your situation. Dr Talarico gave me options that ten orthopedics might offer, he took the time to explain why each different approach to my problem may be a good choice,- Totally depending on my personal situation. He also offered up why another choice may be good for someone different than me. I felt informed, and in great hands. Highly recomend Dr Talarico for any lower extremity challenges. The staff were professional and delightful. I really got the sense that everyone at the Webster Orthopedic Medical group operated similar to Dr Talarico. They really want to see you on a journey to healing. - and best case, not see you again. I personally am very hard on my body and been doing activities all my 50 + years, I've seen a lot of healers and this group is looking out for you.
I went to see Dr. Ross Talarico with a bad ankle injury. He saw me in person and diagnosed a sprain, then explained my treatment options (boot for two weeks, then brace). At that appointment and at the follow-up, he was knowledgeable, compassionate and professional. I highly recommend Dr. Talarico to anyone with foot injuries.
I have known Ross personally for many years, but recently have also gotten to know him professionally as a patient. After falling down some stairs and being diagnosed with an avulsion fracture of my ankle, I could not find an orthopedist with availability to see me for follow-up within the month that I was to be out of town. Thankfully, Ross agreed to review my films from a distance and diagnosed not just the one, but also an additional second fracture. In his consultations he has provided exceptional, thorough care: - Strict advice on avoiding any weight bearing (vs urgent care advising against the use of crutches) for a week. - As my swelling subsided, I reached out to Ross by text and he advised that I could start specific, light, range of motion stretches. - A week after that, we had another call to review how things were progressing and he advised me to stop use of my boot a couple of weeks earlier then urgent care had expected. - At my follow-up. an in person visit to Dr. Talarico's office, he reviewed my injury with the aid of a physical anatomical model so that I could better understand where the specific fractures occurred, what exercises were the most appropriate at this time and reinforced how long I should anticipate the ankle to continue to heal/when to expect it to feel back to normal. He also recommended physical therapy for a speedier recovery, which I am eager to begin. All of Dr. Talarico's guidance has allowed my injury to heal much sooner then anticipated with a reduced risk of permanent damage and a speedier return to regular exercise. In each of our interactions, Ross was careful, attentive, and inquisitive. He thoroughly advised, each step of the way, what to expect and what to look out for. Ross clearly has an expert grasp of his subject matter. I am exceptionally thankful for his care and would recommend him without hesitation.
I've been seeing Dr. Talarico for an ankle break. He does a really good job explaining the different stages of recovery and what to expect (e.g. Cast, Boot, Start walking) and timing. It was really accurate and helped give me confidence that things are going well (thanks to advice/tips from the Dr & staff). The office is also really efficient, I normally am in and out in under 30 minutes and never waiting in a room more than 1 or 2 minutes before someone else comes in w/ next step (X-ray, cast, etc.). Would highly recommend Dr. Talarico & team and the Broadway location!
Dr Talarico is an amazing doctor. He is totally committed to helping his patients get the best possible outcome. A gifted surgeon, I'd highly recommend him.
Dr. Talarico is a great doctor. Very knowledgeable and very patient to listen to the entire history and understand the whole situation. Excellent with follow up and a longer term plan of care. He takes the time to help you understand what is going on and has an empathetic approach that helped me understand the situation with my sprained ankle, what I could expect, and what I should do under various scenarios in the future. Highly recommended.
I dislocated my pinky toe and immediately thought of Dr. Ross Talarico. He immediately provided top notch service and recommended that I wear a boot for 2 weeks to allow that joint time to heal and then buddy tape the toe for another 2-3 weeks depending upon how it felt. I am elated to report that I am back to doing normal activities. Dr. Talarico also went out of his way to follow-up to see how I was doing on two occasions. Amazing podiatrist, no one better and I would highly recommend him to anyone dealing with foot issues.
I fractured my heel bone (left Calcaneus), the worst fracture you can do to your foot. Ross was excellent through the entire process, avoiding unnecessary procedures and focusing on a fast efficient recovery, even calling me between appointments to check up and make sure I was recovering well. I am already starting to walk again after just a few weeks, faster recovery than usual. He is thorough, compassionate and has extensive knowledge and experience. I highly recommend him.
Dr. Talarico is fantastic. My 11 year old son was pushed into a pool and seriously injured his foot. Dr. Talarico ordered an MRI despite the fact that there were no fractures visible on the xray because he knew there was something very wrong.... my insurance denied the MRI and the Dr worked w/ them to get it pushed through. Turns out my son had a sprain and multiple small fractures through his mid-foot and needed a cast. My son is healing well now and it's all because he had a great doctor. I would trust Dr. Talarico with any of my family members.
Dr. Talarico took care of my fully ruptured Achilles tendon. He did an outstanding job starting with the diagnose, surgery and post op. Dr. Telarico is efficient, personable, very responsive and extremely capable. I highly recommend Ross Talarico, although I hope I never need his services again :)
Ive been treated by Dr. Talarico for a broken heel and broken ankle 2 years ago- stupid dirt biking accident. He is a surgical master and knows how to fix people. I was back to biking after 9 weeks. He definitely tells it how it is and most doctors don't give it to you straight- he should be praised for this. I had to add my 2 cents since all of his reviews are positive 5 stars and the very few negative reviews are from people who seem to be searching for a miracle cure. B.S. thanks Doc for getting me back on my feet again. 6 stars. If you need surgery- or have a broken ankle or foot- see Dr. T.
I fractured my ankle in February of 2020 and went to Dr Talarico on my wife's advice since our daughter had seen him. He looked at my x-rays and immediately recommended ORIF surgery. He was very straight forward and honest about my situation and recovery. Everything went well through the surgery though follow up appointments were a little more difficult with the Covid19. He remained available and kept me on track through the healing process. This is not a fun injury but thanks to Dr Talarico I'm walking without a limp, back on the mountain bike 40 miles a week, and even riding the dirtbike at 20 weeks post surgery. I definitely attribute this to his knowledge, experience, and expertise. I highly recommend Dr Talarico if you find yourself in the unfortunate position of a having an ankle fracture.
I had trimalleolar ankle fracture which required surgery to fix it. I decided to see Dr Talarico for my problem after reading some of the yelp reviews, but I was not sure what to expect. When he told me that I had to wait 2 weeks to get the surgery, my initial reaction was disappointment and maybe some anger as I wanted my ankle fixed at the earliest. But I was wrong and the wait helped my ankle swelling to go down and Dr Talarico's surgical team did an excellent job in repairing my ankle fracture. I received very good pre-op and post-op care at the fremont surgery center. Dr Talarico has made few follow up calls on zoom to check on my progress during this COVID-19 shutdown. Now it has been 9 weeks since my ankle surgery and my recovery to get full mobility is on track. I am really glad that I had Dr Talarico as my surgeon as a few of friends have asked how my recovery is so quick. Thank you doctor for all your help in my path to full recovery. I would highly recommend Dr Talarico for ankle related problem for he knows what he talking about and he does not sugar coat the diagnosis or the recovery time period.
If you want to get rid of foot problems. Dr. Roos H.Talarico is the only person in Oakland or Berkeley to see. Have a planter problem with your foot? One shot and you are back in action. Do not waste your valuable time call Dr. Roos H. Talarico at Webster Orthopedics today.
Excellent Surgeon. Very skilled. Well trained. Was faculty at UCSF for 10 years. Served Veterans for 10 years. Was a residency director. Trained many docs across the country. Wouldn't be part of Webster Orthopedics if he wasn't an excellent surgeon.
I tore my Achilles tendon on January 4, 2020. When I first meet Dr. Ross Talarico and his staff was on January 8 , they were very professional and polite. He called me by my first name normally, doctors ask but I thought that was great because that means to me he pays attention to the notes provided by his staff. He was straight forward with the diagnosis of my torn achilles torn. He advised surgery, after the surgery each and every step of the healing process was explained. I am on track to a full recovery. I am walking again without a cast or walking boot. I highly recommend Dr. Ross Talarico and his staff.
This was my second visit to Dr Talarico. It was for the same condition I had with a toe on my right foot. He had explained from the beginning that eventually I would need surgery but the cortisone shot was administered to get me by for a few more months, the shot was my election. I told him I would see him in the fall for surgery. Very knowledgeable and able to give me the specific for the surgery in the future including anticipated recovery time.
I had a multiple ankle and foot issues. I got an opinion from someone else that made me uneasy. Then I met with Dr. Talarico, and I felt much more comfortable with his evaluation, approach, and prognosis. His experience, recommendations, and approach was top notch. The care and attention during pre-surgery, surgery, and post-surgery has been very reassuring from his expert experience. I trust him very much, and would definitely go back to him if I ever have the need.
Will keep this succinct, yet pertinent. After my 13 yr old competitive gymnast daughter suffered an avulsion fracture at the top of her foot, Dr. Talarico provided her with exceptional care. I don't just mean quick office visits with instructions, I mean, sit on a chair next to her, ask her questions, (he was also a competitive gymnast) and determine a treatment plan that let her heal sufficiently without suffering weakness in the surrounding foot and leg area. He called us on the phone in the evenings to check in. He cares, he's thorough and completely supportive of his patients. I could not be more impressed with Dr. Talarico as a Dr. and as a person. Patient, caring and supportive. I highly recommend him for your athletes foot injury.
Broke my 5th metatarsal. Dr. Talarico was Awesome. Straight and to the point. He made me feel comfortable with my decision with surgery, etc... I highly recommend him!!!
Dr Talarico is an excellent doctor. He did an amazing surgery in my ankle. He is very knowledgeable and thorough. He took the time to get to the root of my problem and how to fixed things. My only concern was the waiting time in the office.
I ruptured my Achilles Tendon on a Sunday evening, so I called Webster Sunday evening and left a voicemail explaining what had happened. I received a call from the office Monday morning at 8:30am, and they had me in seeing Dr. Talarico at 9:30am that same day. He was able to inform me what my injury was and that surgery was needed. Dr Talarico was great through the entire process, explaining everything thoroughly at every stage through my recovery. His P.A.'s and all of the office team were wonderful and communicated with me clearly and helped me through this difficult and challenging time. Highly recommend Dr. Talarico and Webster Ortho if you find yourself in need of an orthopedic surgeon.
I was referred to Dr Talarico by another Doctor, due to a fractured ankle that required surgery. Dr Talarico is a talented doctor that really understands what's required for the best results. In my case I waited entirely too long to seek treatment as I thought it was a bad sprain from the gym. When I met Dr Talarico he was very clear about what it was going to take to get back in to no pain and mobility. The surgery went well and the results were very good. Considering how bad my injury was and the time I lost by not going to the doctor, I am very happy with the results and the care from Dr Talarico and his team. The fact is Dr Talarico is short, to the point, says it like it is and does what he says he is going to do and if you follow the care and rehab instructions the results, at least for me, were positive. I highly recommend him for ankle surgery.
I am so lucky to have found Dr. Talarico. Before I had surgery to repair my trimalleolar fracture I researched doctors that specialize in ankle repairs all over the SF Bay area, also Stanford. My research brought me to Dr. Talarico, to which I am so grateful. He is a super Doctor, I cannot give a higher recommendation. He was thorough, kind, and so amazing to work with. He did mention that the particular fracture was one of the most complex to repair, now 10 weeks after surgery I am walking and have no pain. My many thanks to the amazing treatment and care provided by Dr. Talarico.
Dr. Talarico is a fantastic provider. He answered all my questions and worked within the limitations of my situation to provide a good solution and an excellent outcome. I will definitely return to his practice if I have need again.
Dr. Talarico was informative and friendly. He explained my options. He explained each step of the process to me clearly and succintly. Dr. Talarico reiterated information when necesary. He communicated information with all parties involved in my work related injury. He was professional to the utmost in describing the structures involved in my injuries and surgery. He did so using clinical terminology, but in a way that I could understand. He told me about how my surgery went post op. He monitored my recovery post op, and again told me what was happening. He went so far as to recomend types of shoes that would provide me with good support. I learned that he was a well published and respected in his field. Although this process was difficult for me in general, I had peace of mind and comfort in knowing that I was in good hands. Argentina and all of the support staff were excellent!
1st time meet Dr Talarico few days ago for fractured foot, with worry about what life will be the next few months, he show true care about my issues, he's professional & friendly, after the initial consultation i was sent to x-ray for him to re-evaluate the most current conditions post ER visit, I was told that i can get away from cast but needed wear walking boots with none weight-bearing for 4 weeks...entire visit was smooth and cool, yes i sure recommend Dr. Talarico. 10/1 I saw Dr. Talarico in Dublin, he patiently explain my conditions, I received 3 Xray again and I again rate this office a 5 stars.
I saw Dr. Talarico after seeing several doctors for my ankle and foot, he was very good in explaining what the problem is that I'm having with the pain in my ankle and foot. I would highly recommend him
I broke my ankle in March and had to have surgery. A metal plate and 6 screws. I am a patient in the Dublin office of Webster Orthopedics. He does his surgery at the Alta Bates Surgery Center in Oakland. From beginning to end I have always felt that Dr Talario gave me his full attention and answered all my questions. The recovery is long and he explained everything to me along the way. He comes from a family of foot surgeons and I know I was in good hands. I previously saw Dr. Talarico due to plantar fasciitis and he uses an ultra sound to know exactly where to give the shot. Other doctors did not. Dr. Talarico always gives you his full attention and never feels rushed, even though he has patients waiting for him. His staff and PA Argentina deserve kudos for being friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend Dr. Talarico for your foot needs.
Dr. Talarico got me ready for a fabulous trip at a time when I couldn't walk at all due to a fractured ankle. I would definitely see him again if I had a foot injury. I was first seen at Webster Ortho NOW, the emergency clinic attached to Webster Orthopedics. I was in and out of there in 45 minutes when I injured my foot--it would have taken four hours at a hospital emergency room. When my swelling went down, I was referred to Doctor Tee. It took a few visits for us to warm up to each other and then I began to appreciate his care, his sense of humor and his stylish shoes. Staff is good, the clinic in Oakland is good but you should know that the clinic often runs half hour late. The time posted on their board for each doc is the time the patient is moved from the waiting room to the exam room but it can often be a half hour wait in the exam room. That said, everything is clean, super modern (Their X-ray machine is specifically designed for orthopedics. ) and well run, decent nearby parking for a fee and right down the block from Sprouts where I could go to treat myself after the medical appointment.
9 months ago, I broke my foot indoor rock climbing. My injury was a "Jones fracture." Since his injury happened on the clock, I went to our workers comp provider. I had a pretty poor experience there and didn't heal. 2 months later, after it became clear I wasn't healing, I requested a second opinion and my case worker recommended Dr Talarico. I went and saw him and I was immediately impressed by his expertise and communication. Some doctors can be brusque or fear mongering, not Ross Talarico. He is direct honest and conscientious in his patient communication. He evaluated me and very quickly got me approved for surgery with my workers comp provider. I went into surgery about 2 weeks after my initial appointment. Shockingly fast. Since then, during follow up appointments, Dr Talarico has continued to impress me with his professionalism, guidance and care. Additionally he is a climber and understands what is important to athletes when we get injured. I couldn't recommend Dr Talarico more highly, especially for those who have a Jones fracture and aren't sure how to treat. Now, I am completely recovered from an injury that was hanging over me and raising questions about whether I'd be able to do what I love in the future. I am climbing like before without any worry about re-injury. I owe a huge debt of gratitude to Dr Talarico for helping me achieve this.
My experience with Dr. Talarico has been awesome! I saw him for plantar fasciitis and posterior tibial tendonitis problems that were not going away. In all of our visits, he has been incredibly patient (huge kudos because I always ask about a million questions ha ha), attentive, knowledgable and kind. We ended up deciding on a PRP injection for the plantar fasciitis which has helped a lot!!! I have been very pleased with everyone associated with Webster Orthopedics...Dr. Talarico, his assistant Argentina, the office staff and all of the physical therapy staff. Everyone has been wonderful. I would highly recommend them to any patient needing care. :) :)
I just had ankle surgery two months ago and already feel great. Thank you, Dr. Talarico and entire staff!
Excellent experience. Made appointment, was seen on time. Dr Talarico efficiently addressed my foot problem, looked at X-rays, assessed my problem, and came up with course of action. He paid attention, cared and showed high level of competence. What more could a patient ask for?
Great attitude, allowed me to explain my situation and was a good listener throughout the appointments. After the intial tests, he walked me through the diagnosis and gave me time to answer any questions I had.
Back in March 2018 I had a hiking accident and slipped on loose rocks on a downhill trail and fell over a hillside, fracturing my lower leg and ankle in multiple locations. The bones were splintered into many shattered fragments in many places (comminuted). I'm grateful for choosing Ross Talarico, DPM, to treat this. He is a kind, talented surgeon and explained everything that was going on clearly before and after surgery. Excellent communicator who answered my questions honestly and thoughtfully. It took about 9 months for me to completely heal from this. Lots of PT. But I was working from home (bed) within a few weeks of surgery. It was just a really bad injury and I was fortunate to receive such excellent care. Dr. Talarico's PA, Argentina, returned messages in a timely manner through their easy to use online portal. She helped me at each appointment and had a really positive attitude. The scheduling staff and front desk people were really nice and helpful. If I need orthopedic care again, I'm back at Webster Orthopedic in Oakland without hesitation.
This review will be for Dr. Talarico, Patient Care Coordinator Argentina Hernandez, and Webster Orthopedics as a whole. Quick pros/cons: Pros: + Knowledgeable doctor who can effectively explain diagnosis and treatment options in myriad ways. + Friendly, capable staff at every client touchpoint. + Convenient Oakland location; ample street/paid parking nearby. + MRI onsite. + They have candy, and allow me to take as much as I want! Cons: - You have to make use of their expertise because you're hurting. (That's not their fault. They're great at fixing you, so you're good.) - They have candy, and allow me to take as much as I want. I love candy. Longform review: I ended up with a trimalleolar fracture, and went into Webster Orthopedics with a hearty dose of fear. I knew I'd need a cast, but was unsure about what my recovery would look like, or whether I'd need surgery. Now, I've broken bones in the past, but never a leg bone--this was new, scary territory. What I've encountered at Webster Orthopedics over these few months is a team of effective, empathetic professionals set on bringing you back to health. Each team member you encounter spends time to hear your concerns, offers options, and takes decisive action. It's an impressive outfit. Dr. Ross Talarico assuaged my fears, outlined a clear course of action, and made himself available to address all of my rational--and irrational--concerns. He's a third generation ankle & foot doctor, and it shows. He rules. Patient Care Coordinator Argentina Hernandez is a beacon, assisting me throughout the entire process. She's efficient, responsive, and has a dry wit that I find most welcome. Argentina's a wonderful complement to Dr. Talarico; as a patient, I find them to be a solid team, and am fortunate to receive their care. Attempting to function with this injury has been one of the most difficult trials of my life. The Webster Orthopedics team have made this recovery manageable, and have been integral to my physical, and mental, recovery. In short, they're great! Highly recommended. 5/5.
I have had a chronic ankle issue for most of my adult life from an injury I sustained in high school. I was able to "get by" in my early adult life but I finally decided to do something about it after being unable to run and play sports as i once enjoyed. After working through a couple different sports drs that i was unsatisfied with and trying physical therapy for 6 months i came to the conclusion that my ankle was unstable and needed surgery. i found Dr Ross Talarico after being unsatisfied with my previous surgeon. We discussed my situation and options and the history that i have had. He was knowledgeable and patient and assessed my issues and explained the surgery options. He even suggested i get a second opinion if i was uncomfortable with his conclusion, which i did. I came back to Dr Talarico with the confidence knowing the other dr assessed my ankle and came to the same conclusion. The surgery was the modified brostrom and included a couple "tight-ropes" across my tibia and fibula for my deteriorated syndesmosis. He explained that these methods are from a newer school of thought and don't use cadaver parts and they have very successful results. I had my surgery in early december at their clinic, it was outpatient and went smoothly as i was under general anesthesia. Dr Talarico was accessible and i was able to speak with him and ask questions over the course of my recovery. Each office visit at the new oakland office had very little wait times and the staff was friendly. The facility has an MRI onsite and i was able to get one right away at the facility. It has been 4 months since my surgery and i have just finished my physical therapy and I am back to "normal". I am still recovering and today went for my first run (well, jog) but my ankle feels stronger and stable and i am hopeful for a full recovery. I would recommend that anyone with similar issues meet with Dr Talarico.
Dr. Talarico was very informative and knowledgeable. He was matter of fact but very empathetic.
Great doctor - I found him to be efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. Would visit again... but hopefully I won't need to anytime soon.
I was referred to Dr. Talarico by another doctor at Webster Orthopedics, which speaks volumes in itself. Dr. Talarico performed an ankle ligament repair surgery on me and the entire process, from completing X-Rays and MRIs, to the actual surgery and then post-surgery and follow up appointments were smooth, simple and always went off without a hitch. Dr. Talarico was extremely patient and spent quite some time explaining MRI results and treatment options to me. I never felt pressured towards one treatment option over another, which I had experienced in the past with other doctors/surgeons for the same injury. Dr. Talarico is extremely friendly, down to earth, trustworthy, pleasant, kind and very knowledgeable. I also had great experiences with his office staff, especially his assistant Argentina. They are kind, responsive and always helpful. I don't wish to ever have any future injuries, but if I did, I would certainly trust Dr. Talarico to assist in the rehab process again. I highly recommend Dr. Talarico for your foot issues!
My last appt was today. Broke my ankle in a fall about 8 weeks ago. Surgery was needed to screw the pieces of bone back together. I have never broken anything before so at the beginning I didn't really know what to expect. What I got was really fine. All the appointments and the surgery were on time and efficient. Dr. Talarico explained everything that was important. He bound up the splints himself. The cast, then the boot fit fine. There is absolutely no scar (kinda wanted one). Really couldn't ask for more for a medical procedure. It was a "good heal". Should be tap dancing again by St. Paddy''s Day.
Dr, Talarico most efficient, knowledgeable and kind . I have seen him at Dublin office, he was always on time, never was late. He took the time to answer all my questions, Prior to seeing Dr. Talarico I have seen three different Podiatrist, they never diagnosed my problems properly, in one visit Dr. Talarico identified and diagnosed my problem, suggested proper treatment. I definitely recommend Dr. Talarico to my Friends and Family members if they are looking for best Podiatrist in Try Valley area. Appreciated his genuine services. Shanti
After injuring my foot in Desolation Valley and having to walk out on it. Next day black and blue very swollen went to local Hospital, X-rays showed no break put in air boot to immobilize. Start weight bearing when swelling is down local Doctor said. Returned to bay area, Week later still lots of swelling and pain. Went to a foot doctor I had seen on previous injury he recommended no weight bearing. He was concerned I would need surgery. IF in a week I still had accute pain would order MRI. No weight bearing on crutches is no fun. Needless to say a week later ordered MRI. This is where frustration set in. MRI location I was sent to would not make an appointment until authorization from insurance Co. and MRI appointments were 8 days out. rrrrrgg. Not knowing the extent of your injury is frustrating especially when you are told to stay off of your foot. I needed better response. I had heard good things about Dr. Talarico and that he had joined Webster Orthopedics recently. I gave the office a call, I had an appointment with in two days. After examination he explained his concerns and the nature of my injury and that there might be a fracture. Dr. Talarico ordered an MRI on the spot. I can't say how pleased I was. Staff was very helpful and friendly got an approval from my insurance company within 2 hrs. Took images that afternoon. Next Day Dr. Talarico called me personally to explain that in fact I had a small fracture and strained tendons but that no surgery required. After 6 weeks of no weight bearing on foot things have improved tremendously. I feel I am in good hands with Dr. Talarico, he prescribed a great physical therapist and has checked in to see how I am progressing. If you are having foot problems this is the Doc to see, straight talker, friendly and compassionate.
Dr. Talarico treated me for a shattered heel. Throughout the entire process he has been professional and caring. He was honest about my options and the longterm impacts I can expect. I appreciate that he tells it like it is and does whatever he can to make sure I have the best outcome possible.
I recently saw Ross Talarico for a broken ankle. He was available on short notice when I needed him. He always listened to what I had to say and gave very good advice. I was pleased with his care and highly recommend him.
In one visit Dr. Talarico identified why I was still in pain after a foot injury in May. He immediately discovered a break my first doctor missed. He was very thorough in planning and took the time to answer any questions I had prior to surgery. I had surgery two weeks ago. Dr. Talarico even called me the next day to ask how I was doing. He is a talented and caring surgeon! Argentina and all of the staff at Webster Orthopedics are kind, helpful and welcoming.
Dr. Talarico is an amazing doctor! I was in an auto accident that nearly killed me and had been misdiagnosed by 2 hospitals regarding my fractured ankle prior to seeing Dr.Talarico. He discovered the fracture and performed the necessary surgery on my ankle that had partially healed and my recovery is great. He explained everything I needed and wanted to know regarding my injury and was available for any other questions or concerns. His assistant Argentina makes sure to follow up and check on your status and progress and is super awesome. Overall, Dr. Talarico and his staff are a blessing and I couldn't be more grateful than I am for all of their hard work.
Dr. Ross has been treating my son (now 12) for growth-plate foot pain for the past several years. My son used to experience pain playing soccer and basketball, but after Ross fitted him with inserts for his shoes, his pain disappeared. Ross is one of the nicest healthcare professionals we have ever met and has been very conscientious about following up with us. And best of all, my son can play the sports he loves without being in pain!
I saw Dr Talarico today and wanted to give him a good review as rarely do you meet Doctors that have such a good bedside manner, who are willing to take the time with you, be completely thorough and communicate clearly your diagnosis. I am an ex dancer who has suffered (off and on) years of pain in my big toe, that I was dreading might be Arthritis. He is the first doctor to do an Xray and find that the culprit is an extra bone floating around the area! He explained why this would make the pain so inconsistent and what exercises and steps I should do to alleviate the pain. I was elated at the outcome and amazed that no one else had diagnosed this before. Great doctor - great guy!
Very nice doctor and really knows his stuff! Facility was very clean and pleasant, with really nice staff.
I have had foot problems/pain for almost two years. I went to a podiatrist who sold me expensive orthotics, told me I had a rare foot disease, and that I would just have to learn to live with it. My internist then referred me to Dr. Talarico. He took an xray and knew exactly what was wrong. I had surgery 3 weeks ago and while I am still in a cast, I have no doubt that I am on the full road to recovery. Don't waste your time with any podiatrist except Dr. Talarico. He knows what he is doing and he has a great bedside manner.
Dr. Talarico is your "go to" man for foot trouble. Couldn't be nicer, more helpful, more knowledgeable, and a young, great addition to Webster Orthopedics in Oakland! After a couple of bad falls, an orthopedic (I found out later specializes in knees) and 2 podiatrists (one who just wanted to sell me insoles and one who recommended no course of action to get better), Dr. Talarico is the the one to finally put me on the road to health with my ankle and foot problems after 10 months and a different course of physical therapy. I am so glad to finally have him at Webster Orthopedics. I can't say enough good things about him! This is my first ever yelp review to acknowledge an outstanding treasure to orthopedics!
Dr. Talarico has a great team. My mother and I waited almost nothing when we first checked in. My mom had X-Rays taken first and were able to be viewed right away. Dr. Talarico went into dept with my mom diagnosis. He explained everything and we were very satisfied. If you're ever in need of a podiatrist you should check him out!

Dr. Talarico has treated my daughter twice for dance related growth plate injuries. He is very knowledgeable in sports/dance related foot and ankle injuries, and is very caring with fantastic bedside manner. Highly recommend!
