ABOUT
Fariha Farooq
Fariha is a board-certified Physician Assistant at Orthopedic Express Urgent Care in Walnut Creek. She earned a dual master’s degrees in Public Health (MPH) and Physician Assistant Studies (MSPAS) from Touro University. Fariha’s passion for healthcare began early, as she frequently accompanied family members to their medical appointments. This experience inspired her desire to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. After working as an aide in physical therapy, and as a medical assistant in various urgent care settings, she was motivated to pursue a career as a Physician Assistant herself.
“I strongly believe in patient education,” says Fariha. “When patients understand their condition and treatment plan, they are empowered to take an active role in their recovery, leading to better outcomes. My goal is to ensure patients feel supported, respected, and fully involved in their healthcare journey.”
Outside of work, Fariha enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, going on long walks, and traveling.
